Delicious meal, cozy atmosphere and reasonably priced. We arrived on a Sunday evening about 5:30 before seeing a play at the MRT. All tables and high tops were reserved, so we sat at the bar. Service was friendly and timely; we split a sushi platter; fish was firm and fresh. Easy parking nearby; all good!

Pleasantly surprised at the quality. Nice location for Lowell(in the more gentrified downtown area) and there is street parking and a garage in walking distance. Inside the décor is pleasant, though the open kitchen detracts from it. The live piano music is enjoyable if just a bit loud. Would recommend the Romance Sake, its unfiltered and has a richer taste and texture. Also got a good Thai Iced Tea, a bit short but tasty. Both the kitchen and sushi bar options are great. The appetizer sampler is enough for 2 to share and is great. For sushi options I’d recommend the volcano maki. Haven’t had a chance to try out the more traditional sushi as I wanted to feel out quality on cooked items. Service has varied but is generally good. In all likelihood my most recent visit we had a new server still learning the ropes.

I ordered sushi and Thai food. The sushi was better I think, but both were good. I had the tuna tostadas, which were surprisingly delicious! On Friday nights they have live music. Tonight’s musician is really good!

First experience at Blue Taleh. Food was pretty good. I had the White Tuna sushi which was really good and buttery(as it should be). I would definitely order it again. Followed up with Pad Thai with chicken… It was good, but I’ve had better. The struggle was with the service, which was spotty and slow. Took 10 minutes just to get a drink order in, and the empty appetizer plates sat on our table into dinner before finally taken away. It was a busy Saturday night, but the service was not very good at all… The food is worth trying to see for yourself.

Me and the lady friend love this place. The pad thai is on point, order is always correct, and the service is friendly. Only if it wasn’t such a P.I.A. to park and get in… I would go more often. But hey, I can’t complain!

An amazing selection of high-quality sushi rolls, very nice atmosphere, and attentive waitress — what’s not to like! Prices are moderately high, but fair, especially since it’s a pretty nice place. I think a nice bonus is that they have an extensive menu of Thai dishes in addition to the sushi, so if you’re going with someone who’s a little more conservative on the sushi, there are some other good options.

Who knew that you could eat outdoors in Lowell and enjoy a nice view of the water? Not me. Not until now. This place is right off a main road, but tucked just far enough away where if you sit outside you can enjoy a nice view of some calm water. The menu is extensive with both sushi and Thai options. Both times I’ve been there the service has been a little slow, but at least they get the order correct. The tempura dishes are the stars here, with the Pad Thai and Pad See Ew just ok. They do have a gluten free menu and they’re accommodating when it comes to customizing sushi and providing GF soy sauce.

I’ve been here twice now and both times the food was excellent. It comes out super fresh & so many different tastes! If you like chicken wings, try these out! So good! The sushi was fresh & the rice was delicious. They have outdoor seating right along the river which is beautiful! Great selection of drinks. Everything here was perfect! Fun time!!!

I had a lovely time on a dinner date here but objective analysts Is the name of reviewing. These are the components of restaurant experience for me: Location, Service, Quality of food, Affordability, Atmosphere, Outside sitting, Coolness factor not in any particular order but based on living in many cosmopolitan areas. Location 5 Service 4 Quality of food 4 Affordability 2($ 1.25 too much per item) Atmosphere 3 Outside sitting 5 Coolness factor 3 Even thought these scores are equality weighted for me the average of 26⁄7 will have to round down be aye outside it matters ½ of the year.

Not an authentic place for Thai or Japanese food. Sushi was not fresh and green curry was bad. I would not visit this place again. Service was okay though.

We decided to eat here because we were going to a show that was local. Hadn’t been here before but the previous Unilocal review sounded promising. We got to sit outside by the canal, and it was very enjoyable and inviting. Our waiter was absolutely adorable and extremely helpful. Loved your wild boar bracelet. We got some sushi for appetizer and then got choo Chee tofu and some rice. Everything was really good, and very surprisingly not too hot. Just right. Wish we had a chance to sample drinks, but we didn’t this time. We will definitely be back to try some more

Awesome place, quality sushi. Only giving it four stars because parking is a nightmare — I drove around for twenty minutes trying to find a spot. But, the sushi is worth the wait. Plus, they had an awesome live piano player. The bar is awesome, this is the only place I’ve ever seen with Sapporo on tap.

If you like Thai food, strong drinks, and good ambience you’ll enjoy this place. The dining area is big enough, yet still cozy. They also have an outside patio with a view of the canal and part of downtown Lowell. The only two issues I have with this place are: 1) parking… there isn’t any. You either park on the street at a meter, which can be hard to do during the day, or you park a good distance away at the nearest parking garage. 2) pricing… food and drinks for two people can easily run upwards of $ 75 at dinner time. Yes, the food is good and the drinks are excellent. But, this is not a budget friendly place.

Went there my first time on a Saturday for lunch. Service was great and the food was great as well. My friends and I got the alligator roll, volcano maki, spider maki, and a tuna roll. All were very good. Definitely come back again but probably order less expensive rolls, but definitely worth it. Oh and don’t forget their mai tai’s –so good!

5 stars hands down for the food but just 1 for the service. The best Thai food around this area! Must get the tuna tostados paired with a martini! I’ve been here many MANY times but my last 2 visits have truly been a BIG disappointment. We’ve had a late dinner at approximately the same time both times we went, which was about 45 minutes before closing on a Sunday and a Tuesday. The waitress/bartender who works the night shift should stay behind the bar, better yet she shouldn’t be working in that kind of environment if she has poor communication skills. She was extremely rude, unprofessional, mumbled things under her breath when told what to do by her own boss(such as put cups away) and treated her customers as if they were her friends(by acting careless and sloppy). She even had a cup of some blue liquid that she sipped occasionally, HMM could it possibly be koolaid maybe? She not only forgot to enter my order in, she allowed an intoxicated woman to stand right in front of us PUKING into a bag as we were wrapping up our so called«dinner». I used to really love this place and I recommended it to a lot of people but, sad to say that I will NOT be returning here for a VERY long time. I will be satisfying my sushi cravings at Sushi Yanagi & Miya Sushi instead.

My family and I were craving a good Japanese cuisine so we decided to venture to Lowell, MA and stumbled upon Blue Taleh, which serves both Japanese and Thai cuisine. The restaurant didn’t have it’s own lot. However, street parking is free after 6pm. The restaurant has a small dining room, decorated with metal sculptures on its green or red colored walls. There are tables that seat parties of 2, 4, and 6. For drinks, we shared a large hot sake among 4 people. In addition to the hot sake, I ordered a Thai Iced Tea, which consisted of red tea, half and half, and ice. We shared the following: (1) Sashimi Combo, which consisted a Chef’s selection of 15 pieces of high quality raw fish including(but not limited to) white tuna, tuna, salmon, and yellowtail. It was served surrounding a bed of shredded radish and leaves and with wasabi and pickled white ginger. It came with miso soup and white rice. The miso soup was tasty. It was made of soybean paste and water with diced tofu, seaweed, and garnished with green scallion. (2) Yellowtail and Scallion Roll, which consisted of six yellowtail and green scallion wrapped in seaweed and rice and rolled in sesame seeds. (3) Black Dragon Maki, which consisted of shrimp tempura and cucumber wrapped in seaweed and rice, topped with eel, black tobiko, and drizzled with eel sauce. They created a dragon head with wasabi, radish, and carrots and legs with eel sauce. It was my favorite roll tonight! (4) Sweet Potato Tempura Maki, which consisted of sweet potato tempura wrapped in seaweed and rice and drizzled with eel sauce. It was sweet and savory. (5) Lowell Maki, which consisted of six rolls with yellowtail, crabstick, avocado, scallion, and tobiko wrapped in seaweed, tempura batter, and rice, and drizzled with eel sauce. It was served hot, which made things interesting. (6) Stir Fried Udon Noodle with Shrimp, which consisted of stir fried udon noodles with shrimp and broccoli in homemade brown sauce, topped with tempura flake. It was a small portion. There was more shrimp and broccoli than noodles. It wasn’t worth the price! The server didn’t ask if we wanted dessert but gave us the check.

OMG, if I thought the Kiss of Fire was good, then HOLDONTOYOURSOCKSFORTHE************ ************VOLCANOROLL******************************* $ 15.95 It was absolute perfection. Now mind you, I’m already familiar with volcano rolls and I know they come topped with an ambrosia of Krab, spicy mayo and roe. Its the best part in my opinion. But if you don’t like, sayyyy spicy mayo, the def avoid. My boyfriend wouldn’t even try a bite, but damn was my tongue singing. The roll is HUGE, like MASSIVE and the topping plentiful. At $ 15.95 its both the most expensive and the best Volcano roll I’ve ever had. I will be back. Tried the Crab rangoon, they were just«OK». Stick with the sushi, nom nom nom. My boyfriend ordered the cashew nut chicken extra spicy and they were very accommodating. I can’t wait to be back. It’s NOT cheap, which is a bummer but you get the quality you pay for.

I was so excited when I looked at the menu and saw that they served Chicken Coconut soup– one of my favorites! It was so good and just the right amount of spicyness. I got that with two maki rolls. The place is a little small. I got there a little early for dinner and it was filling up quickly. I’d suggest getting there early or calling ahead if you want to avoid a wait(there isn’t much space inside to wait for a table either). The service was pretty slow. I had my soup before I even got my drink(and I had been waiting a while for my soup). Once I finished my meal, they took my empty plate away quickly, but I had to wait a good 15 minutes before they even brought my check.
