Charo’s Bakery & Pastery Shop

Charo’s sells slices of cake, cookies, flan etc from their bakery. In addition they seem to do a healthy business making cakes to order for weddings and parties. Good cake, great prices, and very friendly staff. I love this place!

My postings seem to have vanished … so I am re-​posting… sorry if it shows up twice.
I have walked past this place MANY times but had never gone in. We were in the mood for something sweet and decided to give them a try.
We walked in the door and there was one other customer there. The person working never even acknowledged we existed. We looked in the showcase at the pretty treats and waited patiently.
The employee (or owner. who knows) must have walked past us at least 5 times (getting the other customers order together) and never even said boo (it is a very small place). After being ignored for close to 10 minuets and really feeling unwelcome. We left and we will NEVER go back.
A simple «Hello» and a smile would have made all the difference in the world.

i’ve been getting my birthday cakes made here since i was a wee one. and when i came back to pick up my 21^st birthday cake, charo knew who i was (my own doctor can’t even say that!).
this woman can do anything with a sugar, flour, and whatever else it is that goes into her cakes. there are albums full of cakes she’s made over the years. she is a true magician.
and the flan… oh! oh!
my mouth is salivating too much to complete this review. but i think you get the idea.
