Here we go again I gave them another chance I ordered a Phat Chicken huge sub I go to unravel the giant Where’s the cheese Stuck to the foil no Cheese at all left on the sub Ridiculous and the picture shows I scrapped the cheese off the foil

Big Improvement! Last time trying to order was a horrible experience and swore to never order from them again. Today, I decided to give them one more try because of the wing choices offered and was hosting people today for the Super Bowl. It mostly ended up a pleasant experience. Again, ordered online but this time through their own website and not a third party like Foodler. They did have some minor issues with handing the order off, which I only know of because they called to let me know; big points for the customer service albeit not really needed because it was Super Bowl Sunday and was not expecting a quick turn around on the order because of the volume of orders most likely being placed.
That said, the order was delivered approximately one hour after being placed, not bad because again it was Super Bowl Sunday. So the major issues I have had with them the last few times seem to be some what rectified. They still promote and offer online ordering, yet after many years in business are just starting to fix the kinks with that kind of system. The apology and phone call was a huge improvement. Other times when online orders were ignored, there was indifference and no communication.
Now to the food. Wings are great, love the amount of flavors and they are tasty. Pizza is meh, but that is a complaint I have with many if not all pizza places in Lowell. I just feel the pizza places in Lowell aren’t as good as the places where I grew up. By thw way, my wife disagrees and loves the pizza.
All in all food is good and service has improved. I will consider them an option again in the future if the service continues like today. I would still suggest you proceed with caution with this merchant. Calling in your order is probably your safest bet.
But, it is nice to see a local business go from abysmal to actually providing customer service and producing a quality product.

I came back recently cause I wanted a chicken finger sub and Mac n cheese bites and this place has it so I went and it was good, 2 stars better than before and was satisfied.

So many bad reviews but this place good! Wouldve gave it 5 stars but they got 2 sizes wrong for 2 of my pizzas and charged me for it. I used a coupon so it didnt really matter. Still tasted great in my opinion

if i could give this place 0 stars i would … been a loyal customer of this place for the last 15yrs
cause they had decent food but after a few issues and the response i got from management i was hesitant on going for another try and up until the last two years when i decided to give them another chance … the last time i had a delivery driver who was screaming and banging and pounding on every door in my 4 family house like he was conducting a drug raid, scared the crap out of every neighbor and caused them to call me for help cause they thought someone was kicking the doors in… tonight i ordered a large teriyaki cheese steak sub and med motzarela sticks and med spicy fry … while biting into my half of the sub i shared with my GF i felt something rub across my nose to pull the sub away and to find a long black hair in my sub … i pulled the hair out and decided to look around and low and behold i found two more inside the sub … i was very disgusted and grossed out and i called the sub shop to report this gross find and i start the conversation as i was looking to see if a kid with long dark hair works there and is the cook tonight … (i only did this as i assumed whoever cooked my food had long dark hair) which they did … i continued in the conversation to inform her of the 3 hairs i found in my food and that the person cooking should tie their hair up and use a hair net as this was disgusting… she replies back to me as that was a rude assumption and unfair request to make them use a hair net … ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I FOUND NOT ONE BUT 3 HAIRS IN MY FOOD AND SHES TELLING ME THAT IS UNFAIR? well proof is in the pudding i guess. they had two stores at one time and now down to one … i guess that explains it … all set i will never order from there again, she has the decency to tell me she will give me a free 2 litre of coke … seriously? i think Lowell’s health department needs a phone call. all set. never again take a look at the hair in my sub …

Delivery took 2 hours on a Wednesday night, our driver, showed up with lukewarm food and no pen to sign the receipt, not sure how legal that is. Don’t order from here.

I enjoy Fio’s Express. I recently moved to Lowell and have ordered from them several times and never had any problems. Younger delivery guy (I think they have a couple) is really quick and always professional and does great… The older guy I sometimes get is sometimes slow to get here and doesn’t seem all there, but I guess he gets the job done. lol… He once told me the price was a lot less than it was and I ended up having to chase him down to give him more money because after I read the receipt and realized I shorted him by nearly $ 10. I was a delivery driver before and I remember my employer used to take mistakes like that out of my pay, and $ 10 is sometimes close to an hour worth of work. I would hate for someone else to get screwed on pay because of a simple error.
The food is great and I really like the prices. The reason I am given it 3 stars instead of 5 is actually because of the cheese… lol. I ordered a Cheeseburger Sub on Foodler and requested Cheddar Cheese. Apparently, what they call Cheddar cheese is actually Cheese Wiz. That is utterly disgusting and the ONLY thing Cheese Wiz should go on is a Philly cheesesteak and it should be called Cheese Wiz on the menu not Cheddar Cheese. This place could get 5 stars from me if they simply had regular sliced Cheddar Cheese as an option. More cheese options in general would be awesome, but Cheddar Cheese is a MUST have for any Sub/​Pizza place (IMO)

not impressed anymore they used to be great when the mammoth rd location was open but since the fire at the building and its closure I have been to the Gorham st location several times and the food was less than par the employees are excellent it just seems like they are pushing the food out way too fast as I have had a upset stomache several times after eating there lately so I have chosen to go elsewhere

So I ordered from fio’s for the first time, regardless of the negative reviews I gave it a shot and it was unsatisfactory and really pretty bogus. I get the pizza the delivery man is a nice guy no problems there, open up the pizza take a glance at the pie and there’s something black under the cheese, I pick it out and it turns out it’s a big fat beetle, now I’m not usually the guy that would loose his appetite but let me tell you this thing was gross. I call up the manager tell him the situation, he gets an attitude thinks I’m lying and says he needs to see the beetle to believe it after I threw the sucker out. Pick it out of the trash for him and they bring me a new pizza pretty quickly and it was pretty good. But I didn’t receive any discount or any extra food I payed fifteen bucks and this is what I get. In a standard dignified restaurant when there is something like this wrong with the food you usually get a discount at least and maybe it’s even free. Overall I wasn’t pleased… pretty disgusted, manager wanted to argue rather than listen to a paying customer. Safe to say I won’t be calling there again.

I love this place. I often order a cheese pizza at late hours and it is ALWAYS delectable! I have never been disappointed. The employees are lovely and management is excellent. Might even say it’s the best pizza in Lowell…

Fios has always been good to us. They are pretty quick, arriving before the grubhub estimated time. I get them once a week. Good mild buffalo wings and pizza.

The good first. Fast lunch delivery, good portion sizes. Taste on both were decent, crust was decent too. Sub was large
The not so good. Pizza was crushed to one side (see image). Italian sub had way to much oil. I should of noted previous post image.
Not sure about giving another try. Maybe in a while as we explore others in area.

We ordered a pizza and pasta from this restaurant at 7pm… after calling multiple times we received our food at 9PM!!! 2 hours for take out you have to be kidding me. Not to mention the driver was a total ***hole too.
Worst service ever and I live two minutes from this place.

If i could give them fewer stars, I would. Terrible terrible place. I can’t count the number of times we’ve tried to give Fio’s the benefit of the doubt and assume its just an «off» night for them, and then ended up disappointed. Last night was the last straw. At 11:50 we were still sitting and waiting for the pizza and salad we ordered at 8:30 (they originally told us it would be here by 9:05, 9:15 the latest, and then continued to change the time each of the 4 times I called).
The food is always sub-​par but the delivery guys are nice enough, so we kept trying and just hoped they would get it together. Shame on us, I guess. The past two times our food DID arrive, the cheese was completely off the pizza itself and pushed up against the cardboard. They’ve also given us the completely wrong order before. A few months ago my boyfriend ordered food from them and fell asleep before it ever actually arrived and they never refunded his order. On top of everything, there is zero consistency in their orders. I always order a Cesar salad… sometimes it has homemade dressing and sometimes it just comes with a packet of Kens dressing. Sometimes the chicken is marinated and sometimes it isn’t. Sometimes they completely forget the chicken all together.
I’m honestly embarrassed to have not complained about this place earlier and to have kept ordering from them so many times after being constantly disappointed. I’m very patient and I can put up with a lot, but tonight was just too much.

Called for a pickup around 10:30pm and it was for a steak bomb pizza and when I got there the guy gave me a sub which I was surprised and told him that I didn’t order it and I told him its fine I ll take it but I want a steak bomb pizza and I ll wait, I waited for 15mins to get it and when I got home then was the big shock and disappointment… both the sup and the pizza taste terrible. the pizza was not cooked well!!! that was my first time to order food from there and the last!!!

Gave them another shot using the grub hub app. It’s really cool and charges you right from your phone. The steak and cheese is delicious and the small pizza although not the best presentation is delicious. Love this place for late night grub and a 2 liter of coke. Thanks grub hub

Very average sub/​pizza shop. We were ordering for delivery a lot, but you have to be crazy specific when ordering a sandwich. NOTHING comes with lettuce/​tomato/​mayo, some things don’t have cheese. The Syrian bread is good and the sub rolls are meh. Our biggest problem is that delivery can be anywhere from 30 mins to 2 hours (!!!), even if it’s only Wednesday. We live pretty close to the shop itself, so maybe we’ll just drive down there from now on. So yeah, if it’s dinner time and you want your food delivered the same night, you might want to look somewhere else…

I’ve always gotten good food here and it’s definitely the place to grab food after hitting the bars downtown. It always hits the spot! They have great pizza, subs, and sides. Who cares if the employees working occassionally have a buzz on… lol the food is always good. Steak bomb with everything on it and their pizza with extra cheese, bacon, and pepperoni soooo good!

This place is somewhat of a hit or miss. They make good chicken finger subs… not the best, but good. Their pizzas are not as good as their competition’s. It is somewhat of a typical pizza/​sub shop, but somewhat of a notch down from the other near by pizza/​sub shops. I lived right next to this place, so I saved by walking here instead of waiting for delivery from some other place that would always forget a part of our order (but had good food).
All together, this place is alright.

So there are different types of eateries in this world; places that impress, like where you would take a date (and all those that TRY to be in this category) and then there are places where you go (or order from) to EAT. Fio’s falls into the latter category. This place is indulgent and does everything a pizza/​sub shop should do; cheap, big portions and lightning fast delivery. They won me over with this cheesesteak they have… it’s got a creative name — I forget what it’s called — and it has steak, cheese (duh), sausage, pepperoni and ham. Yum! Totally over the top and totally delicious.
I’ve also had their onion rings (delicious) and their «fio’s special» pizza which basically has all the meats (including bacon, hamburger and pretty much everything else) and peppers and onions. Totally awesome, though the crust could have been just a touch crispier.
All in all, this is a great place and in spite of it’s nasty appearance in a bad area (which you shouldn’t have to see if you order delivery) this is a jewel of fast and greasy food in Lowell.
