Great time with the family. The place is very good with children and fun for adults too. The seating is very close. Just watch out for foul balls!

The park was clean, well lit, and had excellent views of the surrounding city. Tickets were only $ 7, the beer was cold and cheap, and the Spinners won! A relaxing, affordable and fun Friday evening spent outdoors with friends.

I am NOT a professional sports team fan. I lean more towards the semi-​pro and local teams as they are not so over commercialized and over priced.
I like the local Lowell Spinners and all that it is.
Good clean fun.
A few notes:
–Excellent concessions.
–I agree with Catherine’s review– so much nonsense. The management can not even let a few seconds go by without a silly music clip or shenanigan. Every moment is captured and full of silly nonsense. Some I can sand but every second of down time?
–We were sitting just left of home plate. More netting is needed on the right and left as someone is going to get hurt from a foul ball.
–Parking need better signage.
–Parking is cheap.
I am happy to support the Spinners (more than the Red Sox), and want to come back soon.

GREAT place to visit — especially with kids. There is something entertaining between each half inning. The people working in the park are super friendly. Prices are very reasonable. The park is very clean and every seat provides a great view. The seats do get hot during Summer day games and most of them are in the sun. LOVE the Spinners!

Even if you are not a baseball fan. It is a great night out. They Do an excellent job keeping kids interested with their between game activities. They even have a little kids play area.
I’m certain games they allow the kids to run the bases at the end of the game, very cool
They usually draw a very good crowd. Parking is easy and cheap.
Before after the game take a walk around and help support one of the local businesses grab a bite to eat or a drink or two

Best entertainment value for the money. You can tell they really go out of their way to take care of the people that come to the games. A treasure in the city of Lowell!

I guess the plus side of not having two major league baseball teams in New England anymore is our ability to feature three levels of minor league Red Sox ball (as well as several other minor league teams in Manchester, Burlington, VT and Connecticut). The Lowell Spinners may be at the bottom of that pecking order as a «short season» A team, but they certainly deliver in terms of a beautiful stadium, better-​than-​expected concessions, promotional, commemorative and celebratory events and a competitive on the field product (thank you, Ben Cherington & Company).
LaLacheur Park is a secret outside of northern Middlesex County– where else can you walk up on a weeknight and get a $ 10 ticket to a professional baseball game?
Highlight of this summer was probably the professional debut of the Astros’ 2013 #1 draft pick overall Mark Appel. A wall behind the press booth memorializes MLB regulars who have made their first professional appearances here.
Parking is reasonable, restaurants are nearby and the area is getting a residential facelift.
Lowell isn’t scary anymore– come down and catch a game (June through September)!!!

Love this place! Ive been there several times for a spinners game and had a great time. Between inning entertainemnt is great for kids and kids «Swamp Area» is good for taking a break from the action. Wide food selcetion at the many consession stands. Seats all have good views of field. 10 stars if I could!!!

LeLacheur Park is located in the heart of downtown Lowell on the campus of UMass Lowell, by the Tsongas Arena and Lowell Beerworks. It’s the perfect place to catch a ballgame during the dogdays of summer.
LeLacheur Park is intimate and beautifully designed. Parking for games is $ 5 and tickets cost between $ 7 – 15. See the Boston Red Sox future prospects battle it out for the Lowell Spinners (Class A Baseball) in the NY Penn League (Est. 1939).

Beautiful park. Really fun thing to do in Lowell — nothing better than a summer night and watching some baseball.

A big group of us went this summer to see a Spinners game and had a great time. It’s a small park, but easy to navigate and the food is decent… with a better than average beer selection
We tried to use the online food ordering app, and it delivered our order before we could complete it… so we paid a 2 dollar service fee for one beer, albeit a beer that was delivered promptly.
At the end of the second inning, I was surprised by the PA guy and asked to play Family Feud… Although I lost, I won a Top Gun DVD anyway, and my picture was on the site the next morning!
We were there for Free Sunggie day and got there too late to partake in Snuggie madness (we walked in right as the game started and the seats were half full)…Spinners lose a star
Otherwise a cheap way to see a game… we had a great time and I hope to go back soon

I have now been to 3 Lowell Spinners games at LeLacheur Park (how DO you say that, btw?).
Twice I’ve been with a big group (a company outing) and once with just friends. The 2 times with the group, we ate in the Gator Pit — all-​you-​can-​eat hot dogs, sausages, ribs, wings, corn, macaroni salad, ice cream and soda — NICE! I don’t know if it’s worth it, price-​wise, if you’re just a few people, as the food is relatively cheap in the ballpark (well, compared to Fenway! $ 1.75 for a hot dog is a steal for a ballpark), but it is all-​you-​can-​eat…
The park is pretty small — someone last night said it holds 1,500 people — and there are pretty much no bad seats. It’s pretty much, in my opinion, the perfect outing for a family with younger kids. They do plenty of fun games during the innings — getting kids involved as much as possible — and constantly ask the crowd to «Turn Up the Noize [sic]» or «Get Loud.» What a great way to let kids get out their energy without being annoying!
As for the game (s), they are fun, but obviously not as good as a major league game! It’s more an opportunity to go out, have some fun and watch some bball.

Home to the Single A affiliate of the Red Sox, LeLachuer is a very nice 3000 (or so) seat ballpark in Lowell. The Lowell Spinners have been the training ground to future red sox players for years including Papelbon, Youkilis, Ellsbury, etc…
There really are no bad seats in this place. Everything is close to the action. Last time we sat six rows back on the third base line and it was really close. Try doing that for 8 bucks at a major league game. If you can’t get a ticket, try standing room only. The place will empty out at some point and you can sit wherever. Plus it seems half the place is walking around the entire game anyway.
Concessions are typical baseball fare… hot dogs, burgers, fried dough, ice cream, although no budweiser products were sold here, which I thought was strange.
The place is very family oriented. During each half inning, there are various entertainment acts happening around the field. If the kids are bored, there is a play area designed just for them beside left field.
It’s a great place to bring family and/​or friends and not break the bank. I recommend it.

I’ve only been here twice. Once for a Spinners game, and once for a Wilco show. I like that Wilco avoids Live Nation by playing at places like LeLacheur. The sound is very good considering it’s a ballpark and not a theater. I disagree with Dorise G. I was in the first few rows for the first half of the show, and I thought it was a little distorted. When I moved to the bleachers it was harder to see the band, but the sound was clearer. Towards the end of the set, the rain came down in buckets. There was little if any cover there, so everyone took off. Can’t blame the park for mother nature though!
For a baseball game, it doesn’t get much better. On a warm summer night you can go here and not break the bank. They pack them in so you might want to get your tickets ahead of time. Parking is pretty cheap and there are a couple of bars in the area to have dinner and a drink at before the game.
The staff at the park was pleasant, and I had the fastest experience ever at a will call window. If you get a chance to go to a Spinners game or one of the few rock shows they have here it’s a place you can go with friends or family.

***DISCLAIMER — Reviewing as a concert venue, not a baseball field***
Saw the Wilco/​Conor Oberst show here, and I actually thought this was a surprisingly decent concert locale (the downstairs bbq was quite tasty as well)! If you stayed sitting in the bleachers you felt a little too far away and the sound quality didn’t come across as well, but by the time you made it into the standing crowd no matter where you were standing you had a good shot at being able to see the band pretty clearly. All in all a solid concert venue.
Minus a star for no back-​up rain plan. The show was meant to go live rain or shine, but Wilco’s encore got cut significantly when it started downpouring. We were prepared to stay and get soaked, and lelacheur should’ve been prepared with ample covering for the band’s equipment! That’s okay, Jeff, Nels, Glenn, John, Pat, and Mikael are all welcome to come over to my place to finish up with a private concert. I’d settle for just Jeff, too.

Great way to spend a summer afternoon or evening with a few friends or family without dropping $ 100.
Tickets are hard to come by though, and most games sell out as this is a best kept secret and many fans have season tickets. But if you know someone, or buy on-​line early in the season you can get tickets, or buy cheap SRO day of game. All seats have great views… Check the park seating chart I uploaded to see what I mean.
See future Red Sox stars before they make it to the big show. The Lowell Spinners alumni include; Kevin Youkillis, Jacoby Ellsbury and John Papelbon.
There’s no waiting in long lines for food and drinks and the concessions areas are spaced out nicely within the park and offer some decent variety.
The season schedule is fairly short for baseball, as they don’t start up until mid June.
Tip for families: Kids get to run around the bases on Sundays after the games. How cool is that?
Can’t afford or get Red Sox tix, next best thing is the Lowell Spinners.

Lame.
Easiest one word review of how I feel about this organization. The «giveaways» are all gone hours before game time and yet I still see boxes of the «giveways» being carted aside for employees to have. Bullsh*t!
It may be alright for kids but when you have some moron clubhouse attendant screaming like a retard on the video screen over and over, this place will become tiresome for you.
Save your $$$ and go to Fenway Park or down to Pawtucket.

There’s a lot to like about Lowell, but this is an attraction you’re going to love– not just for Lowell, but the entire Merrimack Valley community. With ticket prices at only $ 6 – 8, you can afford to take the entire family out for the evening and still get ballpark snacks without breaking the bank. The Lowell Spinners aren’t too bad either, so you just may go home with mushy squishy feelings of a home team win– which is a great way to end a date night with your honey.
The park is clean and well kept. The seats are well spaced so that you don’t have to stretch to see over the person in front of you, and every seat makes you feel like you’re in a good spot– especially when they do giveaways and prizes in between innings. They do a great job of keeping the energy level high, even during the innings, so that it never gets too boring for the little ones who don’t quite understand what it’s all about yet. If the kid can’t sit in their seat, no problem– just take them over to the play area near third base.
I had heard rumors that tickets were often sold out in advance of the game, and when I called to ask about tickets, the rumors were confirmed by the ticket sales staff, but they did say that I could get a standing room ticket at the park. Here’s a little tip: even though they may saayyyyy «Standing Room Only» — that doesn’t mean you’d actually have to stand for the entire game. Fact is, any seat that is unclaimed after the first inning is fair game to sit in for standing room only ticket holders. Since the standing room ticket is only $ 4, if there’s an $ 8 seat open after the first inning, you might get an even better seat than if you’d been able to purchase a regular seat! Cha-​ching!
In my attempt to try this method out, I arrived to the park a little over an hour before game time in hopes of getting a «standing room only» seat for the game that I was told had been sold out. To my surprise, the ticket window asked what kind of seat I wanted (hmmm. not really sold out, eh?) and being the big $ 8 spender I am, I said I wanted the best they had! Turns out I was able to get two seats right behind the catcher only 5 rows up. Ummm… who needs tickets in advance, when you can walk up and get seats like this?! WICKED!
There was a great crowd and it was just a fun and relaxing atmosphere. I was impressed that they didn’t do too much gouging on the food and drink prices, and there were some interesting choices for food. If you can find the steak tips, they were the tastiest looking thing I saw at the park (next time I’ll actually try them)! The only thing I think they could improve about the park is putting lawn seats near the outfield for people who want a different experience– maybe something to give kids an extra place to run around. I look forward to my next Spinner’s game and maybe I’ll get lucky at the ticket window again!

Great place to catch a Spinners game. Great crowd involvement, awesome atmosphere, ample parking, cheap tickets, and yummy food.
The only semi-​bad thing was trying to leave the park at the end of the game was like getting out a Fenway. You’d think there’d be more than one exit.
