I have been a customer of Trucs since I had to sit in the booster seat. Since there were 2 chairs and it was half the size. Since Frank used to have the Karaōke Bar attached to the Salon. I am now 33 years old. I grew up on Moody St in Lowell so needless to say it was very convenient. But since moving out of the Acre I have lived in Waltham and now Dracut. I still and will always be a customer of Truc’s until they retire, or until I lose the last piece of hair on my head. Whatever comes first. Place has always been very consistent and can honestly say I’ve never had a bad haircut. I now bring my son who’s been going since he was 2 years old. Prices are very competitive and service is always great. Just a few tips for those who may be walking in for the first time: Bring cash, no credit cards, Never refuse the Hair Wash(its like getting a $ 1, five minute head massage), walk ins are welcome, if you bring children under 10, please don’t touch the styling books, and stay away from the cumquat tree. Lastly, enjoy the music selection. I love this place.

I would describe Truc’s as a no frills, small hole in the wall establishment. Frank buzzed me up with a neat medium fade in about 15 minutes. I was in and out, totally satisfied. I usually go to my guy at Stage 1 in Waltham but he is by appointment only on Tuesdays and I was in a pinch. I have to say, I would not hesitate to give Frank a try if you’re in the area. The English is a little shaky so it’s tough to have a conversation, but for $ 15.00 you can’t beat the cut. Way better than the shortcuts type joints.

Truc’s is the only place I will get my haircut anymore. I’ve been coming to trucs for a few years now and I’ve never wanted to go anywhere else. Even after moving further away, I still find myself driving to Truc’s because its that good! Truc is my absolute favorite! She just knows how to cut my hair… maybe its a woman’s touch? It’s great to have someone you can trust to always give you a fresh cut. Plus she’s super friendly! I’ve gone to other salons and barber shops around Lowell and no one seems to do as good of a job as Truc. The hair washes, the people, the music, the overall vibe is great. If you want a perfect haircut then this is the place to go!

Trucs! Best fades in Mass hands down. I have been coming here for roughly 15 years. I grew up in the area and actually moved to Boston about 10 years ago. When I moved I was convinced I would just find a place local to me so I wouldn’t have to keep coming back for a haircut. Boy was I wrong. I probably went to 5 different barber shops(Black, spanish, Asian) and to be honest. They kept screwing up! Frankie is the man to go to. Although everyone seems happy getting a cut from whoever, Frankie has been my go to since I was a kid. They will usually wait for me if I am running late, and once even brought me back a Tshirt from Vietnam! All i have to say… for a #1 high fade. Frankie uses at LEAST5 – 6 clippers. You know that is a good fade. Until the day I grow up and get rid of the fade(NEVER)… Trucs is the place to go! ps. I was in Super 88 in Brighton once, and some Asian college kid asked me where I got my haircut. I told him, he has a long drive ahead of him, but it is worth it.

It’s okay. It is quite busy here and gets a lot of customers, though many seem to be guys. Pros: 1. Haircuts(with wash) and eyebrow waxing available 2. They use a razor in addition to scissors to cut 3. Stylist(Tenie) was very nice and constantly asked questions of how it is, if more needs to be cut, etc. Cons 1. Typical Asian salon — tacky, a bit old, posters are from like 1993. But they were playing Spanish music and had like Mr. E-like posters everywhere — identity crisis? 2. The woman I had(Tenie?) cut like she was against the clock. It was extremely fast and I couldn’t exactly follow what she was doing. It didn’t come out terrible, but not great. 3. There’s no exact price — it starts off as $ 18 for a woman’s hair cut, and depends on the thickness of your hair and length(which really shouldn’t matter). I have thin, shoulder length hair and only got a trim/clean-up and bangs — and it cost me $ 25 — how did they figure that? All and all, from a woman’s perspective it’s decent. I think I wouldn’t mind it more if it wasn’t $ 25. It’s not worth it. Will not be returning.

I have several hair salons nearby but I drive 20 miles to Truc Beauty Salon to have my hair cut every month because at Truc Beauty Salon I am getting a fabulous haircut. The haircuts are wonderful and the service is great! I would recommend them to everybody! Alexandra

Who goes to a beauty salon to get a fade? I DO. You know why? cause Frankie does it right. I don’t care if there are 4 people ahead of me waiting for Frankie, I will wait for him. In a pinch, MAAAYBBE I’ll let Truc cut my hair, but… that will never happen! I can’t attest to the other ladies there on how they cut hair, Truc is pretty good from what I see, the other two —- well… I wouldn’t let them cut my hair even if Frankie had 20 people waiting for him! I’ll let Truc do my eyebrows though, only cause Frankie doesnt do it. At this place you’ll see a plethora of people from all different walks of life. From the hood-a$$ dudes with the saggy jeans to the professional businessmen! This place has been around for a while, and they’ve got a good rep. The area around there is suspect. One time as I was walking in, these two dudes stopped there car in the middle of the street and got out to start beef with the barber shop across the street. I wanted to hop in the car and drive away laughing. I didn’t though, I just watched and laughed to myself.

You enter this small beauty salon to see a bright room filled with ladies and 1 guy, and you are asked to take a number from the table and sit down to wait your turn, and they ask if you would like to have your hair washed, then they will attend to you as soon as the people ahead of you are finished, waiting time is usually not long. They are very friendly and ask what kind of style you are seeking. Overall, I was very pleased with my haircut and also my experience there.
