Overall a delightful experience! Naturally being nervous, Strella had a welcoming environment. The laser procedure(IPL) was explained to me in a professional manner AND with an ease of understanding. The esthetician made me feel comfortable and at ease with minimal to no discomfort. I was pleased with the results as they met my expectations… which were based on what was explained to me initially.

First some background. I am a 42 year old guy so going to a med spa made me a bit apprehensive. Maybe I am a wrong, but I always considered med spas to be more for women. I knew nothing about med spas, but found Strella through a simple internet search. I am glad I found Strella. So, I had a bunch of these things called Cherry Angiomas on my face(some on arm) that I wanted to get rid of. Cherry Angiomas look sorta like red pen marks. Dots basically. I wanted them off. When I inquired through Strella, I quickly got an email back saying«yes» they do laser them off. I then received a very nice phone call from somebody who works there explaining the procedure to me and setting up the appointment. From the get-go, Strella was *very* professional, and treated me with the upmost respect. Again, being a guy, I almost expected them to treat me differently. Also, the procedure I was having done was/is less expensive than many of the other services they offer. I was wrong. I received a nice phone call just before to remind me of my appointment, and ask if I needed directions. Upon arrival for my appointment, I was quickly greeted in a friendly manner, and even was offered water. I was explained the procedure and had my questions answered like I was the only one there. When I picked up a brochure for a different procedure and mentioned it would be for my wife, I was given an overview of that procedure, and another brochure to bring home. The technician zapping off those pesky red dots was also very friendly. For the entire appointment, me being comfortable was there top priority. As for the zapping of those cherry angiomas, it was a quick procedure with fantastic results. And the price was very fair, and reasonable. The medspa itself was extremely clean, and inviting. Strella receives a five star without any hesitation. I would recommend them to anybody.

Strella has a really friendly and professional staff. They are knowledgeable and provide information before any of their procedures. I recommend them for any of your Medspa needs and only wish that they were still located in Center City.

I am a former Strella client(5÷30÷14−4÷20÷15). I am a late 30s medical professional and sought information re: cool sculpting in May of 2014 after an appx 50# weight loss over about 18mos Given I had not been to a medical spa before, surgery was not quick on my mind. I had«problem» areas after the weight loss, notably on my abdomen, arms and back. I had ten cycles of cool sculpting done on 5÷30÷14, abdomen, back and arms. The cost was $ 5000. and without time to evaluate the response, I was encouraged to pay another $ 850. for skin tightening. The next several months were frustrating. I was not seeing results and had difficulties communicating with the office manager(G.N.). I explained that I was training for a marathon. My legs were becoming more defined, my behind, the circumference of my neck and legs decreased… the only thing maintaining weight, were the same areas that I had the CS done. $ 5000? And no results? But I asked other physicians and CRNPs I worked with to look at my before and after photos, as well as all the circumferences I had taken on my own, at home. The lack of results was undeniable. I had an extremely unprofessional encounter with G.N. over the next few months. I logged all the emails and calls I placed, many going completing unanswered by G.N. On the limited occasions she did return my correspondence, I was told a «few sit-ups» wouldn’t cause that much weight loss. So she had me in the office to look at Strella’s before and after pictures, she compared the two and vehemently advocated for the obvious improvement one set showed over the next… problem…she confused the set of photos and was ultimately explaining why I had looked so much better pre-cool sculpting/$ 5000. Essentially, I continued to lose weight from the training and my skin continued to sag more. Why I looked better before than after. I asked for a 50% refund(I had already gotten a full refund back for the $ 850 skin tightening after I showed up for an appt and the office was locked. Simple explanation by the receptionist, they«often» have errors transcribing telephone #s of cool sculpting clients into the main database and when they called to cancel the appt… they got the wrong number.) G.N. declined to answer my calls for 2 months re: the 50% CS refund I asked for but I was persevered. Their solution was to have me attempt the CS treatments again. My issue was loose skin and something CS couldn’t address. But they wore me down, I had spent the better part of 7 months attempting some resolution, so I agreed. They said they would start with 4 cycles to determine if it was working before doing the last 6. And my new point person became… L.K., yet another office manager I was told. I did the four cycles and one person said I would come back in 4 wks, another said 8wks and a third said 6wks. But that wasn’t ever surprising, that was my experience with Strella. Different people constantly sending me different messages. My loose skin didn’t change, nor did my weight or my clothing size. But… if I chose to show naked pictures of myself around… I could, in theory, argue that I had achieved some minimal results. You know what else came of that appt… L.K. told me I was a perfect candidate for a mini-tummy tuck and she quickly set me up with her plastic surgeon(Dr. J.C. of the Lehigh Valley and to my understanding, affiliated with Strella). I guess all hope of CS being the answer was officially out the window. But I did have the last 6 cycles scheduled to be completed on 4÷20÷15. When I got there I was told they would only do 4 cycles because L.K. «didn’t realize» they had scheduled someone else behind me. I said«but I took another vacation day» and she replied… «I didn’t ask you to take a vacation day.» I burst into tears and literally begged Strella to stop«torturing» me. They did do 6 cycles that day; I felt they couldn’t wait to get rid of me. Now, they wouldn’t do my arms, because they have decided that since they took a $ 1000 from me last Spring to do my arms… they realize that CS is just not effective on the arms. Interesting…just as I was hooked up to the vacuum for my last cycle(and an hour before the procedure was complete), they asked me to sign a form that«all» of my CS treatments had been completed to my «full satisfaction.» I thought that was interesting professionalism??? Have someone sign off that they are happy before even completing the treatment and well before the 4wk evaluation window… or 6wks or 8wks… or who knows??? I signed. I couldn’t sign fast enough. I knew I would never walk into Strella again or recommend them ever. My fault though. I let an early 20s J.N.(and daughter of aforementioned office managed G.N.) sell me on CS, as she was the primary marketing and assessment coordinator during my less than hr long consulatation, when what I really needed was a full assessment by a competent medical professional. $ 5000. lesson learned.

I can’t believe I fell for their scam. I entered a contest and I won! Me and every other sucker who gave them contact information. I even considered taking time off from work to be able to redeem my «prize» within their horrible business hours. After I got there and filled out the new patient forms AGAIN(I am already a client of their center city office, which I’ve had a great experience with) I was taken into a room where I was basically told that I would look deformed if I got the one coolsculpting«application»(not session– this means that the 4×6″ applicator is put on one spot only, not one body area) that I won. Additional«applications» are $ 750 and drop to $ 500 each additional. Yay! I love winning a bill for $ 1750! No thanks, scammers. I feel as stupid as they sounded.

I have been going back and fourth about getting my veins in my legs taken care of for years. i’m not normally concerned with getting any ‘cosmetic’ work done but my legs have gotten so bad that i haven’t work shorts in years and rarely put on a dress. i have well beyond any normal varicose veins so i was really worried that it was going to be extremely painful and freak me out. A good friend recommended The Welcare Center and even though it is quite a hike for me from Brooklyn, it was worth going somewhere that i felt comfortable with. Rebbecca has done all of my work and is wonderful. she has put up with my nerves about the procedure and the fact that i’m pretty much a giant baby when faced with a laser. I have completed three treatments and the results are far past what i had expected. i wore a bathing suit on vacation a month ago for the first time in years and i was finally not ashamed to rock the legs. i have some follow up visits to do but the results so far are amazing and i can’t thank Rebecca and The Welcare Center enough.
