Foster’s Freeze

I haven’t seen a Fosters Freeze in awhile and coming through this little town one evening a milkshake sounded good. I parked and went inside thinking I should eat something too. This is a pretty run down location that has not been shown any love recently. The menu boards are small and they do have a lot of choices but they are not really easy to find on the menu since there are several hand written ones off on the side etc with other items. I made a comment about the menu being small and hard to read from so far away and the girl said they were supposed to be getting new menu boards. I opted for a chocolate chip milk shake and ordered the fish and chips. The fish and chips weren’t too bad for a fast food place and the milkshake wasn’t as thick as I would like but it was good nonetheless. The seating area was well worn and the place just needs a overhaul and a good cleaning. I would recommend going through the drive thru its probably easier to see the menu and you can avoid seeing «too much» inside.

Had old fashion burger and fries. Food was great and the staff we’re very friendly and professional.

Please keep I’m mind if you come here to eat it is an old school place thag serves grilled food and fried foods. Nothing fancy! Just greasy, flavorful food. We recently went to this location twice when we were staying nearby for work. Our first visit consisted of chicken strips and a cheese burger with onion rings for our son. It was decent. We really enjoyed all of the different sauces they offer. We really liked the fry sauce they offered, the BBQ and the ranch mixed with the chulula hot sauce the had. Our son had a cherry sundae and he was very happy with that, he is 7 so ice cream in general is normally a home run! On the second visit it was just me and our son and we shared a banana split with no chocolate sauce but double strawberry since that is our favorite!!! We really enjoyed it. We each started on one side of the boat and we ate it so fast it seemed like no time before our long plastic sundae spoons were clinking together! I can’t say that I will head back for a meal anytime soon unless I’m craving greasy chicken strips but I will definitely head back for a cold treat!

When i arrived at the drive up window after ordering through the intercom, no one was there. I waited while three more cars pulled in behind my car. I waited, waited, waited. I got out of the car, opened the window and said «hello» several times, then «is anyone here», then «hello» again and again. After a long time a seemingly angry, hostile, disgruntled, bothered, inconvenienced employee came to the window, rolled her eyes, sighed, very rude, ill mannered, grabbed the bag of food and handed it to me. The «old» fashioned burger had a very stale bun seeming like an «old» burger for sure.

Excellent grub!!! Cost a little more, but, you get what you pay for. The others can keep their ‘fake’ food.

Fast food, frendly service, Great customer service, is what keeps bringing me back.

The temperature outside was a chilly 36 degrees and the temperature inside the restaurant was 51 degrees according to the thermostat inside. There was once a wood-​burning stove, but it had been removed and a teeny-​tiny space heater was there in its place. It was FREEZING inside. The food was mediocre at best… no seasoning on the hamburger patty… oil needs to be changed in the deep-​fryer. Old and tired building. Food and ice cream nothing to go back for. Put in a heater!

AWFUL SERVICE. Ordered my food, waiting 5 min. beeped horn, asked server how long it will be, she said 3 – 5 min more, I asked for refund, it took her 2 min to give me my refund, and she didn’t even give me the whole refund, I paid $ 0.23 to waste 6 or more minutes of my life in their drive thru and didn’t get any lunch.

Yummy milkshake! I ordered the hot fudge milkshake. Staff was a little rude. At first I wasn’t going to comment on it but after me I watched 4 more customers get the unfriendly treatment and they looked very uncomfortable.

All I can say is… they tried. No one here, which scared me and a new guy taking orders that was friendly but a bit nervous. He could have used some help since it was so slow. Place is

You don’t get a «hello, welcome to». Staff had a personality of paint drying! We just moved up here so we were looking for a decent burger. But I would NOT go back there! Terrible staff, dirty looking interior. Burger was flat as a pancake! Don’t waste your time here!

Two stars for the soft-​serve ice cream. I’m not even sure why we stopped in here… Well, of course it was for the ice cream. This Fosters serves up some creamy deliciousness with it’s yellow-​vanilla soft serve as opposed to the plain white mixture McDonald’s serves.
I think the best part about this particular location was the printed 4′ tall character that everyone in town and out of has posed with. Oh there were a plethora of photos spread across the inside walls. Check them out for yourself.
