As far as I know Dr. Clubb is not a sanctuary as she sells birds. True sanctuaries do not sell their birds. She has a sign near her house advertising birds for sale. The old man whose birds were sent there she will most likely sell. Pure profit. This is not the definition of a true parrot sanctuary. I am a sanctuary and never sell rehome or breed parrots. I do not make money off the back of a parrot. I have heard a lot of people are really angry about this! Sabra BREA! Miami, Florida

Sanibel, FL
I live on Sanibel Island on the west coast of Florida. Dr. Clubb is basically on the east coast. I took my Green Wing Macaw, Timmy to her for possible PDD. She did a full battery of tests and procedures. She is wonderful! Great staff too, especially JoAnne. I have dealt with them many times through email, phone, pictures, and they call in prescriptions for me locally. I’ve even mailed them stool samples. Her fees are quite fair. I have four birds and Dr. Clubb would be the only Avian Vet that I would take them to for illness.

Dr. Susan Clubb really knows her birds. I have a very hard to manage macaw who she just grabbed without even toweling! Her assistants are great and efficient as well. Dr. Clubb is really wonderful, and can actually handle your large birds with ease. She makes the examination process as painless as possible, when my last AV vet was hiding in the corner afraid of my birds, Dr. Clubb grabs them, does the examination, and it is over before you know it. She has so much experience, I now trust no one else with my babies. She is just full of knowledge and does not treat you like you are asking stupid questions. I highly recommend her for your birds.
