A-24 Hour Moving Service

My parents just used these movers, and while they appear to have done a sufficient job, they were extremely slow! Specifically, they took 8 hours to complete a move of a small 1500 sq ft duplex (no packing required; no loading/​unloading impediments (truck was able to pull up to garage of both houses) and no assembly of any furniture/​beds). As a comparison, my wife and I just moved out of a 3-​story, 2,000 sq ft place in Dallas and it was completed in less the 4.5 hours. I have used movers in Lubbock, Dallas, Houston, Norfolk (VA), and DC; some were fantastic and some were horrible, but even the worst ones were faster than this. When I called to complain, the woman on the phone’s only defense was that sometimes a 3 bedroom place will take 12 – 15 hours to move; so I guess by her logic we should feel lucky that they got done when they got done. We would never use these movers again, and I would definitely tell anyone else to stay away. I am all for doing a good job, but I have to believe that you can find better movers in Lubbock that will do a good job and get the job done quickly and efficiently as well.

We’ve used A24 Movers several times in the past; moving within Lubbock from apartment to home; moving my dad from retirement living to assisted living; moving from old home to new home… each time they were prompt and courteous. Andy (not sure if he’s still with them) was always wonderful. All of the guys were honest and fast. The prices each time were very competitive with other quotes. While I hope I NEVER have to move again, if I do, I will use A24 Hour Moving Service.
