Well, I’ll start by saying that I absolutely love decorating, doing home improvement projects, making my house pretty, etc. So when I walked into this place I got extremely excited! There are not only decorations here, but there’s pretty much anything you would need for your home. Aside from groceries. Obviously. There’s patio furniture, dishes, fake flowers, vases, picture frames, wall art, large assortment of rugs, etc. I could go on and on. Everything seems very reasonably priced too!

I sincerely and wholeheartedly wanted to hate Garden Ridge. If you haven’t visited, Hobby Lobby on a crack/steroids smoothie is about as accurate as I can get. I am not a person that wants seasonal flowers or decorations, and so I had written Garden Ridge off the list of places I would ever visit. I had to revise that list when trying to find some giant pots for the backyard — pots big enough to use as coolers. I went to the places I knew of, but could never really find what I was wanting. With a great amount of hesitation, I entered Garden Ridge. Not only did I find what I was looking for, but they had a few styles and sizes to choose from. They had so many of the items I was wanting for the entertaining area of the backyard that I ended up getting multiple large umbrellas, patio furniture cushions, and ceramic & glass citronella candles. The selection was very large. I only covered a rather small portion of the store, but the interior decoration area seemed pretty well stocked as well. It wasn’t a terrible stop. There were a few things I would caution you against though: 1. Everything in the store is seasonal. So if you’re shopping late in that particular season, you are likely buying the last few items they have. If you need an addition or replacement then you will run into trouble. 2. They have inexpensive items, but as you’d expect they are cheap quality. If you want to get the items that might survive longer, it can cost a fair amount of money. 3. There is a non existence staff on the sales floor so you are left trying to find itmes and prices by yourself. 4. There is no ‘back’ for inventory. If they have it, it’s on the shelf. This isn’t particularly a bad thing but it’s worth noting.
