I’ve been going here for the past 3 Fridays with the friends wonderful environment and some great service food is great I try to try something different everytime. And I’m never disappointed. 82^nd and slide go check them. out coldesack ares by food king

We had lunch here on Monday, dining on the enclosed, heated patio. From the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out we were made to feel as if we were old friends and the most important people in the place. SUPER service! Friendly, thoughtful, quick, observant! The food was absolutely top notch! Loved it! Will definitely be back!

I felt I was hurried and the food wasn’t as good as I have had at the Slide location. Maybe just a bad day!

Suggestion: get queso, bottle caps (fried jalapeño slices) with their spicy ranch, and a frozen schooner margarita and you will have a great night.
While now as «the Best Place to Get a Beer», what you really need to know is they make some kickin’ margaritas. They have several flavors (like regular, Prickly Pear, or a Blue Zini (with two shots of José Cuervo Gold). Come during happy hour (every day from 3−7pm) and get several alcoholic drinks for a great deal! Easily one of the best, most affordable margaritas around (even at original price).
My husband and I have two favorites on the signature portion of the menu: the Cheeseburger in Paradise (half-​pound, double stack + a fried egg on top) and the Spicy Cholula Chicken Sandwich (with a side of spicy ranch). THEY’RE SO GOOD.
Caprock is a go-​to if you’re in Lubbock and want good ol’ burgers & beers. Thi is definitely a place to take folks who are stopping through Lubbock, as it gives you the full West Texas bar & eatery experience. Pretty good service most often. Inside can be noisy (it is a bar!), but the patio area is normally calmer. Bring a sweater if it’s fall or late spring in case it’s cold, though!

I had lunch here this past Sunday with a colleague. We both had burgers — I particularly liked the ¼lbs and ½lbs options.
The food was great! The service was prompt and attentive! It was a great dining experience!

Been to caprock café 2 times in 1 month, ordered the ¼ cheesburger the first time and the blue cheese and bacon burger the second time along with queso as a appetizer. Really good burgers and the queso has the perfect amount of spice added. It does get packed and a bit loud during happy hour but the service is still good. Recommend this place!

TOO TYPICAL, TRYING TOO HARD. OK, if it’s your first trip to Texas, fine, you’ll like the western atmosphere, badges on the bar, etc. After that, be careful. Fare is spotty, service is casual, drinks are just OK. A dozen more like it in town.

I have been coming here for years everything I have tried has been fantastic! If you want to watch sports or hang with some friends and grab a drink definitely the right place!

When my wife and I are brainstorming a place to go for our weekly date it usually ends up something like this:
Me: «It’s date night! Where do you want to grab dinner?»
Her: «Hmmm…I don’t know»
Me: «Well what type of food sounds good?»
Her: «I have no idea, you pick.»

We could probably eat here once a week pretty much forever. They’re always welcoming, their burgers are always on point, and the beer is super cold. I always get the ½lb. Cheeseburger in Paradise stacked with an egg on top and a Coors, she always gets the Cholula Chicken Sandwich and a blended marg. We are always impressed. Sit outside if you can, it’s quieter and the tree growing through the roof is super cool to look at. Also there are fewer TVs, which for an A.D.D.D.D. person like me on a date with his wife is a good thing. It’s a Lubbock landmark and you should try it.

Unfortunately our first visit was not good. We ordered hamburgers and fries and the fries arrived room temperature. The cheese sticks we ordered were like the cheese sticks I by from the grocery store.
What really warranted this review and the 1 star was the service. Another table was receiving a lot of attention and we got three visits from our waitress. We literally had to wait to get a refill on water and they serve 32 oz drinks. When we asked for our check she didn’t say thank you nor did she say come back and see us.
Very disappointed…

We came to the restaurant for lunch is were promptly greeted and sat in an area of our choice. We order chips and Queso which was hot and tasty. We both ordered burgers which were hot fresh and presented well. My only complaint or suggestion to the restaurant would be on their tip guide. They computed the tip on the taxed amount. I’m sure it was an oversight by inexperienced computer programmer but I would recommend they re compute their suggested tip table on the net amount.

Super great place to hang and have a beer or three! Food was great and beer was cold cold. Can’t get Mich better than that!

Good food and a good place to watch the game. Burgers, fries, quest and all kinds of other good things. There’s too many Chains around lubbock so it’s great to find a place that’s not. They used to have a veggie burger on the menu and I was disappointed when they took it off.

Food is always great… cold beer. Try the twisted taters instead of fries. Great place to watch sporting events. One of my favorites.

cool local spot to grab a drink and some food. full bar and menu. i had a delicious burger. mashed potatoes were not so delicious. prices are average. waitresses were friendly. the clientele here was diverse (college kids, family groups and senior citizens)

Wait staff very friendly. Burger was great. Wine is a little on the high side, but overall an excellent experience.

The atmosphere is fun. It seems to be clean the few times I’ve been here. The quality of the food served is always good.
However, I don’t recommend their margaritas. I understand they are known for their beers and my dining companions enjoyed theirs. I favor margaritas but didn’t enjoy the one served by Caprock Café.
A couple of other side notes: salad options are minimal — Caesar is not an option. They serve mozzarella sticks without marinara sauce which we thought was odd.
Overall, their pricing is good, their service is prompt and friendly and they seem to appreciate their customers. So, that bumped it from 3 up to 4 stars.

Honestly, this is the only really great NON CHAIN place in Lubbock. The food is really good, the beer is cold, and depending on the luck of the draw… you might end up with a very pretty waitress. The managers come by often and leaving this joint with a bad experience is uncommon. Food wise, you cant beat the burgers or the wraps. Down and Dirty wrap if you like it tad spicy is greatness. The one thing that they flop on is the fried pickles… I just don’t understand why anyone would serve SPEARS instead of fried pickle slices. I hope they change that.
My last waitress was Jamie and she was spot on, really good, and seemed to know what we needed BEFORE we needed it. I think she has Jedi training.
Anyway, don’t miss this place. Its got local character, which is impossible to find in Lubbock restaurants these days.

Amazing green-​chili cheeseburgers. The fried pickles and bottle caps (fried jalapeño slices) were also really excellent. The place was very clean and service was generally good. Seems like a good place to hang out, if you’re looking for some pub food.
