Checker Cab

For some reason Lubbock Airport (LBB) does not have a taxi service assigned to it (does everyone in the world use Über — don’t think so).
So I called Checker Cab for a ride to my motel. The driver was on a call but said he could get there soon. Good! In the meantime another cab company came by offering me a ride. Well, I’d told Checker I’d wait & I keep my word. A call from Checker — he was on his way. Excellent!
My driver was Trey — I asked about Buddy Holly’s grave @ immediately we were in a conversation about Buddy as he took me straight to the gravesite. Such a great way to begin my, unfortunately, too short visit to Lubbock. But I’ll need a couple more rides while I am here, and Trey & Checker are my go-​to guys.
Forget Über: Go Checker in Lubbock!
