Plains Optical

Dr. Hamilton was very nice and respectful. This is the only time I have ever been to the eye doctor. Plains Optical came highly recommended by my friends. The recommendation made sense just after one visit. The waiting area was small and quaint. Everyone was friendly and professional. The exam rooms weren’t modern or decorated up to date. That doesn’t mean I didn’t get awesome care, I did get great care, the atmosphere is just something to mention. I will continue going here until I leave Lubbock. The eyeglasses store that is right next door really only has high end choices.

For the first time in my life I recently was told I needed glasses. The only thing that concerned/​confused me was where to go — it seemed that that were a million shops that I could get glasses from and the few I stopped at were a bit more aggressive than the worst used cars salesmen. A good friend recommended I try Plains Optical and since it was very centrally located I stopped by.
The staff here was awesome and the young lady helping me spent a great of time answering my questions and guiding me to finding glasses that would work. I appreciated her help because I literally knew nothing. After a while I made my choices and proceeded to check out.
I was impressed at this point but what really blew me away was a phone call I received the next day. The price of glasses was $ 50 cheaper than what I had paid for and so they called to apologize for the mistake (which I would have never known about if they hadn’t told me) and informed me that they credited back $ 50 to me already. They could have very easily not said a word but the fact that they were genuinely concerned about the mistake was remarkable; I am still impressed with the honestly and I would highly recommend them to anybody.

I bought a pair of eyeglasses here a while back. Customer service is good. They’re helpful but not intrusive and allow you to browse without hounding you. They have a pretty good (Tag Heuer, Prada, Oliver Peoples, etc) and large selection. Prices are a bit steep but you’ll be hard pressed to find a better selection or customer friendly environment in Lubbock.
