If you go here for breakfast get ready for a line but once you get in its easy to see why this place is so popular. They have pretty much anything you would want for breakfast. The wait staff is very friendly and always there to refill your coffee. It is a true diner experience. The prices are pretty cheap and the specials are hard to beat. What more could you want? They have a pretty good hamburger and their chicken fried steak is good also.

Recommended by locals! Breakfast was tasty, quick, facilitated by genuinely friendly service. Never had a cold or empty cup of coffee. The only question we had was seating ourself or waiting to be seated. Seat yourself.

This is our favorite Sunday Morning Treat after church — they serve breakfast all day — so whether you are in the mood for 2 eggs over easy, sausage, hash browns and toast or a Chicken Fried Steak this is your go to place! Today the hash browns were cooked to perfection and I added their homemade hot sauce to my eggs! Delish!!!

What a cool joint and what great food! And from the looks of the folks that were there when we stopped by(on our way home from New Mexico to Austin), a whole lotta locals like this place. My family and I had a combination of breakfast plates and lunch plates and all of them were really good. And great, small-town prices. They’ve got a whole lot of Texas Tech football history all over their walls and it gives the place a fun look. Service was great too. If you like small town, diner food and service, then this place does it and in the big Texas town of Lubbock.

Great food, great service and fast. Prices are very reasonable, too. I’m in Lubbock monthly for business and this is the first time I’ve eaten here. I will definitely be back.

It was good breakfast. Cheap, but nothing that makes you wanna come back. The waitstaff was good too. Just wasn’t that impressed.

Great local breakfast spot. I come here often and did not take the wait staff long to know my name. I would recommend this place. They make great breakfast and keep your coffee full.

By far the best breakfast spot in Lubbock! When we moved here we tried all the different breakfast places and this is by far the best. Food is great and at a very reasonable price. It comes out fast and hot. The entire staff(wait staff, kitchen, and managers) are all great at communicating with each other and working as a team to make sure customers are happy. Even when it’s packed, the wait is never long. In and out quick with great service.

World’s tackiest restaurant. I mean it. Noisy. Busboy cart rolling inches away from customers. Loud clanging plates in your face. Orders taken before you even sit down. Margarine!!! No joke! Instead of butter for the waffle. Tropicana orange juice in a warm bottle with a cup of ice on request. No fresh squeezed. Waffle was soggy. Bacon, even after asking for extra crispy, was an amass of grease. Tabasco sauce had drops on the bottom. I asked for a new one and I get another one with drops in the bottom. The waitress objects. Waffle takes 10 minutes more than the eggs. Loud, babbling Spanish from the kitchen, of course: Tacky. One of the most unpleasant experiences I’ve ever had at a breakfast place. I gave it 2 stars as it was still edible and I felt sorry for them. Somebody needs to go to cooking school and learn the basics of quality ingredient shopping, how to serve people and place the customer first. As far as ambiance, it’s world class tacky. I will make a notation of it and as a joke, tell friends to at least walk in and sit down, to glean just how unpleasant a restaurant can be.

The line at the door tells a great story. If people are willing to wait on Sunday morning for a restaurant with little frills. No frills here unless you like sports history photographs and memorabilia. It’s all about the food here. Great food at a reasonable price. Been here 7 – 8 times, tried something different every time, and every time I got great food. Highly recommend, it’s a must when you come to Lubbock, breakfast is great here and lunch is good too.

I stopped in here on my way to ABQ! The facilities are what they are, but the food was great. The Waitress I had was extremely quick and very Pleasant! They didn’t have what I wanted on the menu, so I was accommodated with two eggs, hash browns, chorizo and tortillas! I think the food came within 5 min after being ordered! Probably the fastest service I’ve ever had! I would definitely come back again!

Fast, Freindly, Clean, good value. Its the local dinner that has that«everybody is a regular» feel without people who are not regulars feeling out of place. Food is awesome and cooked just the way you like it. Only complaint is that i wish they were open 24hrs :/. Still awesome though.

I like going here because it is fairly cheap for what you get. Their breakfast is very good, and even though it is usually packed, food does not take that long to arrive.

I’m in town for work and needed a place to eat with down home cooking. I found it. This place had pot roast with red potatoes and green beans just like home made and it was great! The cabbage soup was fantastic. I’m a new fan. The service was super fast as well.

Wasn’t impressed by this place at all. It seemed like the cheapest stuff they could get to open a restaurant and tasted like cafeteria food. Won’t return.

You cannot make a bad decision here. My kids had pancakes and eggs, my wife chicken enchiladas, and I the eggs rancheros. The food was hot, fast, and delicious what more could you ask of any restaurant. My only regret was not taking pictures.

Stopped in here a few times for class lunches. Atmosphere: from the exterior, it looks like a bar in a strip mall. However, when you go in, it’s actually a quite large restaurant. To the left of the entrance is the cashier and food prep areas. To the right is the main dining area. Each time we went, it was seat yourself, so we never had to wait. The first time I visited, I was a little put off by the fact that nearly a quarter of the unoccupied tables still had dirty plates on them. I saw one cleaner who was moving extremely slow. The next time I went in with the class, the number of uncleared tables was much lower. Staff: the wait staff was overall very friendly and helpful. They were generally attentive, though one of them was pretty absent-minded. I had varying degrees of experience with the staff: from great to mediocre. The food came far faster than I expected every time… it seemed like it was 5 minutes or less for each order. Food: since I ate here several times, I had a chance to order a few different items. They do not have a huge selection, but it is varied. I never ordered the specials, but did have liver & onions(edible), country fried steak(very good), and hamburger(okay). If I had received a consistent amount of very good meals, I would be happy to give a higher rating. Why go so often? Well, the price can’t be beat unless you go to a fast food restaurant, and the students more often than not requested lunch there.
