Want a good place to get used things? Savers it is. They are very organized and as clean as a second hand store gets. They have colored tags. Each day of the week a certain color is only ninety-nine cents! They also have a good selection of more than just clothes. They have books, furniture, shoes, bags, and also usually get in a lot of good seasonal items. For example, every year they have new halloween costumes and decorations for sale. They will also give you a 20% off coupon your whole total if you bring in donations for the store. They have a good mindset and a great set up. I highly recommend this establishment.

I’ve always loved Savers. We grew up pretty poor so we frequented second hand stores a lot. I remember giving my mom such a hard time sometimes because all of my friends had new clothes and new things but there were a lot of lessons learned and instilled in us and it has kept us grounded. Needless to say even though I make a decent living as an adult, I still shop at Savers and this particular location is very clean and their employees are very polite and helpful. I visited this location this past weekend to find a costume for Halloween and ended up leaving with a bag full of work clothes lol. Like a lot of consignment and thrift stores, it’s either hit or miss. Whatever the case, I never leave the store broke lol.

Good selection, prices are a little higher than other thrift stores.(esp. clothes) Prices are marked individually on each item. They have a lot of stuff that seems to be organized very well. They take credit and debit cards.

I really like the Savers. It is kind of like a Goodwill, but everything is better organized, it is bigger, and you can actually find lots more cool stuff. I found an old book I had been looking for, some pretty wineglasses, a wire basket that hangs up for fruit, a purse with roses on it, etc. They have clothes, furniture, coffee mugs, dishes, knick knacks, costumes, shoes, belts, purses, jackets, suits, kid stuff, blankets, books, magazines, kitchen stuff, you name it. A lot of it is used stuff that was donated, but some of it is new with tags. From the outside the store looks kind of junky, but it isn’t bad. They also have some kind of special days when all the tags of certain colors go one sale. I don’t know how to tell when that happens, the cashier just told me about it. Anyway, this place is like an eternal yard sale. It’s awesome.

I am a self admitted thrift professional so of course I had to write a review on this place. I live in Amarillo so there are no savers and the ones in Austin suck it big time. However! I was pleasantly surprised at the savers in lubbock. I found a lot of fabric and the guys clothes are decent. It wasn’t that busy when I went and for a college town I was surprised that nothing was picked out.

It’s funny to me to write a review on a thrift store, but I just love this place. They always have the coolest stuff, compared to the other thrift stores in town. Cool things I have found here: — My favorite T-Shirt from my college days, a maroon baby-tee that says ‘Dance for Heart’. I know it probably from a fundraiser or something, but what a great statement! Think about it! — A very cool Texas Tech tee that has a cartoon raider w/his guns up — I’ve never seen anyone else with this shirt. — The flannel that we ripped the sleeves off of and my man wore when he dressed up as a redneck for Halloween. He wore a mullet wig and we pasted matching lambchop burns and a ‘stache on his face w/real theatre fake hair. Classic! — These cool little pieces of art that were some of the first things I bought for my home when I graduated college. They are from the 60’s or 70’s and have little paintings of butterflys on wood. — A shirt w/a small skeleton on the front. On the back it has a drawing of the earth and it says ‘IFYOUCAN’T FIXIT, DON’T BREAKIT’. Need I say more?
