Went to Stella’a with some work colleagues because they raved about it. We had the crab cakes for an appetizer and they were phenomenal. I had a seafood pasta dish for lunch and was disappointed. It was just meh. But my colleagues all enjoyed their dishes. If you go, definitely get the crab cakes.

So good every time. I love their lunch menu and brunch menu items because they’re always different and well thought out. The service is always good and they’re never too busy. I have not been for dinner but I would imagine it would be just as good. Also for the quality of food, the price is very reasonable.

Food was great but don’t bother making a reservation. We made a trace ration for 8pm and were told they were running behind by 10 – 15 minutes. We went to the bar while we waited to be seated and the bartender asked me 3 time to pass her dirty glasses. After 40 minutes we finally were sat EVENTHOUGHWEHADAN8:00pm RESERVATION.

We arrived at 6:50 for the reservation set for 7:00. By the time we finally sat down it was 7:40(what’s the point of having a reservation if you are waiting as long as the people walking in with no reservation?) and we were both starving and eager to order. The waiter was professional but the food took about an hour(8:45) to get to our table once we ordered and my fiancée’s meal was cold. I ordered a pasta with shrimp on top, nowhere on the menu did it say the shrimp would be battered and fried but it was. The broccoli that came with it was also battered and fried which was not mentioned on the menu either. If the dish costs $ 24, it needs to mention that it will be battered and fried and you won’t even be able to tell if it is seafood or kid’s chicken nuggets. When I asked the waiter about it he said«Oh, I guess we should put that on there when we proof-read it next»… The«spicy marinara sauce» listed on the dish was not«spicy,» in fact, it was not even seasoned, seemed like it was straight out of a jar of Prego. A few days later my fiancée checked the credit card account to find that they charged us for TWICE the amount we ordered, making it over $ 100! Very glad we were able to find the receipt and plan to get that straightened out with the bank. I was SO disappointed, we will have to find a new date night location in Lubbock! :(

Brunched here. Really good coffee. Spicy Bloody Marys(not my thing, but they were apparently very tasty). Mimosas were good(they come in various flavours. I chose the classic). My waffles were very good. Breakfast pizza has dough very similar to Pizza Huts old dough(meh, but husbands liked it, salsa was yum). They did switch our cards and charged us for each other’s meal(2 couples). $ 38 for two drinks, two coffees and 2 entrees.

I’m sorry for writing this but today was my first bad experience with Stella’s. Have eaten here many times with pretty good results at lunch meetings but today’s «Sunday Brunch» just didn’t do it for me. We were there very early and the place had been opened approximately 20 minutes. I was told it would be a little bit to allow them to get my table ready. What’s that about? It took 10 minutes and I never saw another customer in the building. I asked about a gift card I had for $ 40 and was told by the manager that it was expired and worth nothing. I understand that since it was a couple of years old but no apologies or anything! I think the prices for the brunch menu are way over priced. The lunch menu on weekdays are more reasonable. Had guests from out of town so I thought I’d give it a shot. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with two eggs but asked for only one egg because I’m trying to cut down and be healthy. When I received my plate, I bet there were 3 – 4 scrambled eggs on the plate. I appreciate their generosity but if you have a specific request, it should always be honored. After we left, I asked others in our party how their meal was and was told that theirs were all«so so». Nothing to write home about. And for the $$ spent, that turns it into a disappointment for me. I’ll try again but I doubt I’ll ever bring my family here again, just lunch and business

I dined here on a recent trip to Lubbock. I met a couple of colleagues there. The atmosphere was nice, and the service was good. I had a pizza, which was quite large. Overall, the food was good.

This was a surprising find in Lubbock. The first time I visited was a Friday. Their lunch special was fantastic. The wine options are small but good. Have returned twice more to enjoyable meals. I’m a sucker for bucatini pasta, no matter what it’s served with. The braised beef was fantastic. The pizza is delicious and the bread pudding dessert will change your life. I didn’t have any expectations on this restaurant as far as fine dining. I would happily come in for a low key weekend meal at the bar or a nicer date night in the dining room.

What started out as a great meal ended with me feeling like it was a Fantastic meal. I chose the charred hearts of romaine salad to start. It didn’t disapoint. Lightly charred with grape tomatoes, red onions, bacon crumbles and a creamy garlic dressing. Next was the chicken parmigiano which is a staple of any Italian place of respect. Hearty piece if chicken with a generous portion of pasta. The marinara was lightly spicy and a sprinkle of baby arugula added a nice touch. I capped the meal off with an outstanding cappuccino. Logan is a great server: attentive without smothering. Great job Stella ’ s I will be back!

I am really surprised to see that Stella’s isn’t rated higher! Things I’ve eaten at Stella’s and loved: steak, mashed potatoes, crab cakes, Blanca pizza, and any and every dessert. I’ve only eaten here twice so that’s basically everything I’ve ever eaten. I also had great wine with my steak! My husband and I chose to celebrate our first anniversary with dinner at Stella’s. We chose Stella’s because it was reasonably priced so that we could indulge in win, appetizers, dessert, etc. We considered somewhere like Las Brisas or Double Nickel but thought Stella’s price point give us more freedom to pull out all the stops and we have loved everything we’ve ever tried here! I have always had really attentive servers here. I have even been a challenging guest(making complicated orders and changing my mind after already placing an order) and they have always treated my kindly and made me feel like it was no problem at all. I really appreciate that. The atmosphere is really fun! I’d love to come during happy hour and sit in the bar with complimentary hor d’oeuvres and live music some time. I have no complaints when it comes to Stella’s. I actually love it!

You know what? I met the big, bad, Billy Rizzo a couple of times before ever stepping foot into Stella’s. He’s kinda why I have lived in Lubbock for 4 years &NOT visited his place. I caved last week. I came, I saw, I ate a good meal and it kinda makes me mad because I wanted so much to not like anything about the place. We had great service at lunchtime. Drinks always filled & the warm bread & butter basket was delicious. My hubby & I are not shy about ordering a full meal at lunch. Calamari to start… its a good way to try marinara sauce before committing to it on your entrée! Not bad. Calamari could have been cooked a bit longer, but ok. I decided on a penne vodka dish off their lunch menu & hubster got the chicken parm. We kept it safe, just in case. While we waited for our food, I watched other people’s plate come out… the plating looks good. Dare I hope? Caesar salads were presented with nice, crisp romaine. I HATE getting a half-a**ed salad with wilted, brown pieces! Didn’t have that problem here. My entrée was nice, actually. Hubster’s chicken parm was a large portion, of wait for it… REAL chicken! That’s a real piece of chicken & not some pre-ordered patty something! Ended things with a nice crème brûlée & went hope disappointed to not be disappointed. We will be back to try something a little more daring off the menu! Doesn’t matter if you like the guy or not, he knows what he’s doing at Stella’s.

We went to Stella’s after my graduation from tech last month. It was literally the WORST experience I or my family have ever had ANYWHERE. They«lost» our reservation, along with about 6 other party’s reservations. We finally got seated over an hour and a half after our scheduled time, and the waiter was ridiculously awful. He failed to even bring us a soft drink menu. When asked about it, he said he could put in our food order or go get a drink menu but not both, like that wasn’t part of his job. He proceeded to be very rude and even forgot to bring our drinks out after all that. We will not be returning here EVER. You’re better off waiting for 2 hours at Olive Garden. The foods better and the service is suitable.

I was not impressed by the food or service. Our reservation was lost along with 3 or 4 other parties the night I was there and our waiter was the worst. He never took our drink orders and when we asked to order drinks he asked if we wanted our food order put in or if we wanted our drinks in. Some of the drink that were ordered never even came. I had the Italian sausage and penne pasta dish. It tasted like it was from a can. The tossed salad was probably the best part of my meal, but not worth $ 4.

I giving five stars even though they lost our reservation, because the food was excellent and our waitress was a doll. The steak was great and so was my Bellini. It’s hard to find drinks that aren’t too sweet. Atmosphere was great too. You should check this place out.

I have ALWAYS thought well of the owner & loved the food! BUT today the service was horrible & I complained 3 times &NOTHING was don’t to rectify the situation !!! I realize that was Mother’s Day, but it still should not have 3 hours to have a meal & deserts. Only had water refilled once, at my request, close to the end of the meal! For ten people, they only brought eight dinner rolls, had to ask repeatedly for drinks & rolls, then when it came time for desert, ONLYONE(1)DESERTMENUFORTENPEOPLE!!! Then because of the # of people an automatic 18% gratuity was added… THESERVICEWASNTWORTH3cents! Usually always give 20% BUTTHISTIMEWAS A REALRIPOFF! Extremely unhappy and probably WON’tBE BACK, even for dinner speaker programs! Much too long for a 6 month old baby to have to sit & wait !!

I head so many great things about this place and gave it 2 chances but each time I left disappointed. The pizza was burnt the pasta was bland, and the service was mediocre. I don’t know what the big deal is about this place.

Consistently putting out great plates of Italian food in Lubbock. I had been a few years back and upon my visit this week, I was reminded that this is some of the best dining Lubbock has to offer. Slightly awkward entry for the unfamiliar or in case a host is unavailable to seat you. Lots of attentive staff, some staff are certainly better versed with the menu then others but this place definitely shines when it comes to presentation and service. Their chicken parmesaan and spaghetti plate really ranks high on my personal favorites as some of the best chicken parm I have ever eaten at a restaurant.
