I’ve lived here going on 3 years now. I’ve never had a problem in my unit except for some noisy neighbors and problems with my dishwasher and garbage disposal but that’s since been fixed. I’ve lived in two other apartments and this is the best out of the two. For the most past it seems like mostly twenty somethings college or career people, a few families. I don’t hear loud kids or loud dogs(and my upstairs neighbor has two boxers.) All in all it’s been an enjoyable experience. *edit* Now that I’ve lived here and moved out I must update my review. I believe the company who owned Woodcrest must have been bought out because it totally went to hell. I had a couple good neighbors, like my neighbors with the boxers I previously mentioned but good God. There were people in the next BUILDING who would party so damn loud and my direct upstairs neighbor had kids throwing fits at 1am. Someone even started popping fireworks in the parking lot!!! I repeatedly filed noise complaints, called the police, and when I called the courtesy officer the manager said«oh, I’ll talk to him but he must have been on vacation.» Really? You’re not going to tell your residents that the courtesy officer is on vacation? I was constantly given incorrect amounts to pay on rent and was required to pay late fees for their screw ups. My air conditioner filter was never changed, the dish washer never worked in the 3 years I’ve lived there except for one short time after the maintenance guy said he fixed it. Do not move in here or their sister property boulders at lakeridge.

Living here was an 11 month pain in the neck. Within 48 hours of moving in, my electric meter literally BLEWUP. I was told they couldn’t get parts to fix it for 2 – 3 weeks, so I had to move into another unit. All by myself mind you since I was new to Lubbock and didn’t really know anyone. The new unit was one maintenance nightmare after another. Bath water coming through the ceiling from my neighbor for over a week, blown water heater leaking all weekend even though I told them first thing Saturday morning when it started, broken refrigerator. And no one in the office ever took care of the issues with any sense of urgency. Three or four times I received false notices that I hadn’t paid my rent in full and had to prove to them that I had. One of the reasons I chose Woodcrest in the first place was the fact that their website advertised free cable and Internet. Upon moving in, the girl in the office said, «Oh, we don’t do that anymore. They just haven’t taken it off our website yet.» It was only recently removed finally.

Worst apartments I’ve ever lived in. They are very old and dirty, all the appliances are original, probably from the early 80’s or late 70’s. Had cockroach’s in the bathroom on the 1st night. Pool and laundry room is disgusting. We had constant problems with the dryer’s and washer’s not working properly.

Break ins to cars are FREQUENT!!! I have lived here for 3 years and have been broken into TWICE plus have had my truck window broken out by the landscaping people! The rent increases EVERY year, no discount for renewing. After 3 years, I had a returned check and they apparently sent me a note saying I could no longer pay by check. I disregarded that note as I had already repaid before they even knew about it, including returned check fees and late fees. The next month they refused my check(requesting a money order or cashiers check) and insisted on charging me late fees even though I had paid on time. Not only that, but the office lady was a grade A —– about it! That was the last straw for me, and I gave my notice to vacate. As the other reviews state, the pools are crap! I picked my unit because it was near the pool but it is NEVER taken care of. It was only open for about 1 week last year, it is constantly locked with pool cleaning tools all around it, and it usually looks like diarrhea soup!!! If management does respond to this, I know that they will say otherwise, but my review is 100% accurate! Had they waived the $ 60 late fee I referenced earlier, I may have stayed, but if they are willing to let a 3 year tenant walk away over $ 60 then they are not worth renting from. Now I will post this review in as many places as possible in order to prevent others from having to suffer through living in a crappy apartment that cares NOTHING about its residents. Read more:
