Burger Depot

Pretty darn good especially for its location! You wouldn’t expect them to turn out a quality burger but they nailed it.
If you happen to be in the area give them a try.

We love this place. We live in Orange County, but make a point to plan our trip around Burger Depot’s hours!
Cherry Coke, onion rings, shakes, burgers, ranch dressing are all wonderful! Dave and Laura are so friendly and even though we only get there 1 or 2 times a year, they remember us, my family (who also go there) and my kids.
I love hearing people order from the drive through when I am there. No one is a stranger and Laura usually recognizes their voice.
I wish there were more places like this.
We are headed there tomorrow and looking forward to a great lunch!

This is the best in town. My dog Mouse love getting her sliced up hotdog. Burgers and tacos are great.

Love this place. Me and wife love the old burger style mom and Bob feel. Older couple does all the work and they work hard. The burgers and zucchini was awesome. If you go try the cherry or vanilla coke. They are made the old fashion way with syrup. I’m getting hungry thinking about it.

Awesome place. Very small, but nice and clean. The burgers were fabulous. Too bad this place is kinda in the middle of nowhere, otherwise I would come back often!

So good! Best burgers in town and the couple that owns/​works here are the sweetest. I love the fried zucchini and the ranch is delish! Definitely is the place to go when you want a top notch burger. & the mini inside is so cute and old fashioned.

Awesome Lucerne Valley offering — better than most burgers in town. My mom and I came based on Unilocal reviews as well as first-​hand testimony. Burgers were good (I am not, nor do I claim to be, a burger connoisseur) and fried zucchini (of which I AM a connoisseur:)) was excellent. Surprising thing about the zucchini — it tasted like ZUCCHINI. Often in fast food places it’s just mushy stuff between the fried stuff. Not here!
Laura was a peach. She seemed a little stressed when we were there but she’s been running this place five days a week for 36 years so damn it, I would be stressed too. She still managed to be lovely. I will be back and I want to try the CHILI!

fresh quick burgers, worth to stop

I love the Depot Burger with bacon and a chocolate shake. Food is always cooked to order and the service is great. My dog can’t wait for her free hot dog every time we go through the drive through.

Everything, including the owners, is wonderful. Shakes, malts, French fries, burgers. Even the dogs enjoy their special treats.

Four of us stopped here for lunch break on the way to big bear. The burgers are wonderful almost close to In and Out good.

Had this place today on my way to bigbear. The owners are extremely polite and friendly, I had a cheeseburger with chili cheese fries.
Defiantly worth stopping at again! If you are ever in the area and never have had this place you don’t know what your missing out on!

I only recently discovered this place, mostly out of desperation one day when I was starving and couldn’t go into town. Generally, with the exception of China House, I will not eat out here but rather drive up to Big Bear, out to Yucca Valley or into Apple Valley for a meal.
I think I’ve gone back four times now. The only thing I’ve tried are the tacos, which are decent. They don’t have the flavor I’m used to but there is something about them I’ve learned to like. Now that I’ve read the other reviews, I am going to try a burger next time.
For me, other than the convenience as it is the only drive thru within 22 miles of my house, it’s how nice the owners are. I’ve only gone through the drive thru, but she already remembers my dog and me. Each time she cuts up a hot dog for Naomi as a treat free of charge.
These are really nice, small town folks who take pride in their business. They are friendly and the food is cooked to order.
One note: Another reviewer wrote that they are open until 6 p.m. I tried to go there just after 5 p.m. last night (Tuesday) and they were closed. I’m not sure what their hours really are.

I love this place! I drive all the way from Diamond Bar for their amazing burgers. Laura is the sweetest lady, always remembers you by name. I get the #7 with (chicken), always fresh to order. The fried zucchini is also one of my favs.

We needed to feed the machine and there it was, the burger depot, bright yellow and open from 10 – 6 Mon through Fri… holy cow, what a fab surprise! Run by a couple that are doing it right; everything is cooked to order, the fries were perfect (I mean perfect) and the hand mixed cherry coke and vanilla coke was so delicious.
This joint is worth a trip!

Dave and Laura have the best burger joint in all of Southern California. Their food is consistently good, especially the burgers and fries. The cherry and vanilla Cokes are flavored on site, and are delicious.

Burger Depot is the best! Dave and Laura treat you like family. Excellent food with the best prices. I highly recommend the Depot Burger with a munch basket (fries, onion rings, fried zucchini), and either a Buttterscotch milk shake or chocolate coke! And maybe some apple pie!

This place is why i road trip. Great service… a good balance between professional and cozy. Very nice owners, good portion size… everything cooked to perfection. Well decorated too in «railroad enthusiast» gear.

If you blink you’ll miss it, you gotta try this place.
Ordered the Bacon Cheese Burger Combo, Burger was awesome and the fries were hot and made to order.
Laura is super friendly and Dave grills a mean burger. Simple and awesome! l
