Food and service were excellent. The mango margarita was excellent as well as the steak and chicken fajita. Service was a little slow after we got our food. They seemed a bit short staffed.

From out of town. This is the second time I have been here and both times I’ve loved the food! Lots of food for a good price.

Great service and very friendly. The food was great after a long day of travel. Yummy chips and salsa. I don’t like a lot of cilantro so it was good for me.

We stopped by here looking for something for dinner that was in a vegetarian vein and were not disappointed. The Margarita special was a fair-​sized pitcher and decent. Light and tasty chips and salsa were complimentary, and the mixed plates were plentiful with good authentic flavors. Loved the spicy beans, and the Spanish rice also had a nice flavor and went fast. Even my picky son liked his wet burrito. The décor is colorful and a little over the top but my daughter loved it — we had a nice meal here and would go again if we were in the area. It was a good find for these weary travelers, with fast and friendly service.
BTW, they have those little mexican chicklet 4-​pack gums for sale at the counter, and they are a must try if you like gum that tastes like air freshener (violet) or your grandmothers deodorant (mint) — avoid the gum — we were warned by the friendly staff but our sense of adventure got the best of us — bleech!

Excellent! Best Mexican food we’ve had in a long time. Great service and good margaritas! tasty chips and salsa Highly recommend the Steak Tacos (though it could use cheese, sour cream and guacamole – but you can order a side of these). The Carne Asada is also great, wonderful beans.

Anyone coming through to northern Michigan– this is a find. Equal to places in pilsen in Chicago. Top quality, friendly, authentic.

Authentic and good food, but hey seem to have a hard time getting it to the table. I think that they need some training in running a restaurant, getting things straight and making the customer feel appreciated.

We’ve eaten here many times. The food is authentic and fast. Service has always been really good with a little language barrier on occasion if you try to special order something.
Margaritas are good and you can get one the size of a fish bowl.
They have an extensive menu with lots of options.

What has happened is we have a fabulous waiter that waits on us every time we go here… food is good… service is GREAT!!!

Ordered take out on my lunch break. Got a hot n spicy burrito, and my oh my was it tasty. Filled with chicken and beef, rice, cheese, peppers and pico. Topped with steak tips and sour cream, plus had a bag of chips. The portion was HUGE and the food was to die for. Easily the best Mexican food I’ve had in the area.

This is a chain restaurant but doesn’t seem
like one. They have delicious Mexican food and the best margaritas around! Prices are very reasonable especially for the large portions that they serve. Chips and salsa are included with any order (even if you’re just there for drinks).
Staff is very nice overall. As with anywhere there is the occasional server who isn’t quite on top of his game but the service isn’t horrible. I think I’ve had two servers here who needed a couple reminders.
The restaurant is very clean. The atmosphere is nice. They have a couple televisions usually broadcasting Spanish shows or sports events — kinda cool.
Depending on who’s working on any given day, you may hear a birthday song or two, complete with drums. I’m not sure what they do for children but for adults the song is accompanied with a shot of tequila!
There are frequent specials for lunch and dinner. They also offer drinks specials. Be sure to check out the board when you walk in and/​or ask your server!

This was our 2^nd and last visit. Our first time they were completely slammed and short on servers, but the food was good, so we waited it out. This time however, they weren’t busy, but again they were short on servers. We ordered Steak Tanpaqueno (T-​Bone) rare. Whatever we got wasn’t t bone and it was extra well done. After we got our meal, 35 minutes later, we had to wait another 5 mins for silverware. Our server rushed by and dropped our check. The cashier asked if everything was good, I replied no it wasn’t, we ordered a t bone steak which we didn’t get and the service is poor, as I handed her our money. She replied «Have a good one».

Great Mexican food! This wasn’t my family’s first time dining here and it definitely won’t be the last! During our most recent visit, there was a minor mix-​up with our order but our waiter promptly took care of the problem and had a new plate in front of us within a matter of minutes! As usual, the chips and salsa were absolutely addicting and the margarita I had was delicious! If you are in the Ludington area and are craving some Mexican food, be sure to stop by! It’s definitely worth it!

Well we used to like this place and were regulars since we are locals. But here are the issues:
1. service has been really slipping and the last couple of times we were ignored before ordering, and after we got our food. its not ok to have to ask your server for more pop, napkins or really anything because they should be the one to ask you.
2. food quality. the same chicken and veggies are served in every meal and you can tell that they come frozen because they leave the rest of the food watery and soggy.
the reason that we go back is because they are so cheap. because it isn’t authentic and all comes frozen!

El Rancho has cheap cold beer and alcoholic drinks. The food is disappointing without regard to any type of quisine to which it may be attributed.

Very good Mexican food. I especially like the fact that one can order a combo plate without having to get beans and rice. I got a burrito, tamali and an enchilada. My wife got a taco and enchalida. Portions are generous and the beef or chicken is very good as well.

Good Mexican food, good Margaritas and good service all al decent prices! They also have some really good lunch specials so be on the lookout!

Enormous menu, speedy service – I love their food! This is as close as Ludington will get to the wonderful cuisine of Mexico. Colorful, spacious. Only complaint is noise level, especially the televisions.
