If I lived closer I would be here a couple times a week but for now I will just have to settle for a growler of Stud-Finder when I make it down to the area! Awesome staff and environment! If you like great beer definitely make it over to Ludlow to visit this amazing little brewery. There is a food truck outside sometimes so check their website for a schedule. If you don’t live close it is worth making a day trip to visit and bring home a few growlers. The brewery is kind of hidden amongst all the old factory buildings. Bring Truss back it was my favorite! Beer: A++++ Staff: A++++ Atmosphere: A+++

Love this place! The beer all tastes great, prices are great, and the people who run it are super nice. Every time we go in they make us feel like we’re family as soon as we walk in lol Def recommend!

I wish we lived closer. They do flights and full pours of their 9(!) beers. They also have smaller sized growlers(can’t remember the oz). Tried all 9 and took a few home. Very friendly staff, interesting bar patrons, industrial chic décor. Took a walk around the abandoned grounds afterwards.

Really terrific brews. Like other reviewers stated it is a little tough to find, but the tasting room has great atmosphere, the place has a cool vibe, the bathrooms are immaculate and the use of reclaimed wood and tin all add to the ambience. Nice crowd, good service, great beer. We did not try the food from the food truck but now that we know it is there we will next time, and there will definitely be a next time.

Really good brews across the board. The location is a little tricky, but they’ll probably get more business because of that. The tasting room is a bit tight and can fill up fast, but it’s a nice atmosphere to enjoy some good beer and the food truck outside is a good option as well.

What a fabulous find! It is located in an old industrial mill complex. Use GPS. You will certainly almost drive past it, swear, make a hard turn and end up at a superb brewery. We enjoyed everything we had. All of their brews were very tasty. I suggest you get a sampler, as I like IPAs, but really enjoyed their largers as well. Great vibe and friendly staff. There is a food truck located there as well. Great price point and the space is relaxing and friendly.

Really great to see this old factory space gentrified into a beautiful brewery. Opened less than a year but already with a number of followers and supplying some great local beer to various restaurants in the Pioneer Valley(spotted at both The Student Prince in Springfield and Mcladden’s in Northampton). The breakfast stout was delicious and both the owner and his investors/staff we very friendly.

Visiting from Florida! Here with my sister and her husband! Awesome experience! We each tasted 3 of the available 9 brews tonight! Not one was disappointing! Restrooms are very, very clean, also!

Thank God for GPS. After a series of «really? there’s a brewery in here?“s and«are you sure we were supposed to turn left?“s, we reached our destination. Iron Duke is hidden at the rear of an awesome and still rough-around-the-edges old riverside mill complex in Ludlow. It’s not far off the Mass Pike– specifically, the part that’s a no-man’s-land between Worcester and Springfield when you see exit signs and say«Palmer? Ware? Ludlow? These are places in Massachusetts?» The old-school mill charm and delicious brews make this a surprisingly hip spot for such a small town and worth the detour off the pike. As we were in for a quick sip, we were only able to try a few beers between the three of us. They were tasty, though. Favorites were the Common, a bright, aromatic ale that wasn’t too hoppy, and the Wildcard, a black lager with a chocolate finish. On weekends and Fridays, weather permitting, there is a food truck parked outside– order at the truck, and they’ll bring in the food when it’s ready. It’s standard diner fare like fries and burgers and decadent grilled cheeses and cole slaw, but unpretentious food seems just right for an old mill space like this. I’ll probably have visions of those crinkle-cut fries for months to come. Additional pluses: cheap! Beers were $ 4 to $ 5. The same amount in Boston will get you a PBR. And friendly bartenders and localfolk surrounded us. It was great to see this place packed on an early Friday evening. With what seemed like such a well-established audience, it’s hard to believe it’s still so new!

After a few fulfilling trips, I will not be back after the way business was conducted at my last visit. We arrived at around 7 on a Saturday. The bar was fairly occupied, but we managed to find 2 stools easily. After a woman arrived with a bag of food, one of the bartenders left the bar area, leaving one bartender on duty, a male with red hair and a large beard. We sat down and looked at a menu, trying to figure out what we’d like to have(most beers we’ve tried have been excellent). After sitting at the bar for 15 minutes, we gathered our belongings and decided to leave. After watching us sit down, the gentleman at the bar put his back to the entire bar and proceeded to converse with the brewer of «insert name of a brewery in Sturbridge». At this point many people had noticed what was happening, as they too were sitting with nothing in front of them. Specifically, a man at the other end of the bar, near the door was holding a menu and trying to attract the attention of the lone bartender to no avail. We got up, 10 feet away from the chatting bartender and put our jackets on without a glance. We walked out the door and decided it would be for the last time. We have enjoyed many good beers produced by the brewery, but our future dollars will easily find a new home.

We bought two samplers and a couple of other brews and didn’t have a disappointing glass in the bunch. For a busy place it was enjoyable and we could talk without yelling. All four of us like it and we look forward to returning in the near future. Great beers

So glad to have this little gem of a brewery in my backyard. They did a wonderful job on the tasting room. In its previous life it was a rope making mill. They transformed the old stockhouse into a really comfortable experience. The beers are good, and will only get better. I recommend the hopy Stockhouse 122. Friendly service and a food truck right outside the door.

Awesome startup brewery! The bar was built using much of the mill. Friendly staff and great beers. A must for the beer lovers out there.

2014 — my vote for best new brewery tasting room. There is a lot of passion went into this brewery. First and foremost, the beer is quite good. Some styles still need a little tweaking, but they are more than on their way. The tasting room is fantastic. A wall with large open«windows» to the brewery remind you as to why you are there. Rustic re-purposed barn boards. Old piping to make back bar shelving. They even used a rail line for the bar foot rest. Quite the transformation. Well done~! No waiting in line for growler fills here. They have a growler swap program. Come back with your old growler and pick up a fresh growler located in the fridge just to the right when you walk in. Check their Facebook page for Food Truck options that might be happening, or for extra hours over and above their normal published times.

This is the best brewery in Hampden county. We stopped by the tasting room, cool modern bar. The bar staff were fantastic, and the Dead Nuts IPA was amazing. A brewery of this caliber will do very well.
