They just lost a customer. Two years ago, they treated my young son like birthday royalty. He felt so special and happy with his sombrero, birthday song, special treatment, and special dessert. Fast forward to tonight. Brought him to El Paso expecting to be treated like a special birthday boy again. Instead, he walked out with his heart broken. The person that took our order,(I won’t insult all the other waitresses in the world by referring to her with the same title), was barely civil the whole time. When I mentioned that it was my son’s birthday, she said that they were probably too busy to do anything for him. I should’ve walked out right then, but I decided to hope for the best. Later, after asking her again about doing something for his birthday, she got the band to play the most half-hearted birthday acknowledgement I’ve ever heard. This, after they played a rousing rendition for another customer. Then… the check. No sombrero, no treat, no excuse. I even told the tray-toting troll that my son’s heart was breaking(it was), but she couldn’t care less. On my way out, I spoke to someone that professed to be a ‘manager’ about what happened. She acknowledged that they’d had other complaints about the employee in question. And that was it. I asked if there was anything she was willing to do, to try to make this up to my son. However, since we’d already left our table, she wasn’t willing to do anything. When I told she was about to permanently lose a repeat customer, she offered a dessert to go. Way to make the child feel special. I guess they were too busy to take care of their customers. Well, they won’t have to worry about me making them busy ever again. Too bad, because the food is pretty good(it’s the only reason I’m giving two stars instead of one). But not good enough to endure being treated like nothing more than a dollar. There are plenty of alternatives in the area…

I have been to several locations of this restaurant and the food is pretty consistent. Delicious! One of my favorite. However, I never seem to have great service at this location. This time wasn’t the worst I’ve had here, but not the best either. the waiter was nice enough although not going out of his way to talk. My drink was never refilled nor were our chips and 3 of us were sharing. I can’t complain about my food although my cousin’s came our cold. Of course I’ll be back because I love their food bit their staff could definitely improve.

I have eaten a lot of Mexican food in my life and this place is one of the best places. The food is quick and delicious! Lots of flavor. They give you two types of salsa and a bean dip to go with your chips. I have been here three times already and plan to make this one of my regular spots! Cheese dip is good and they make their own chips instead of the reheated ones. Definitely try this place when your over this way!

There aren’t many dining options in Luling/Boutte, in general, much less any with as good of hours as El Paso. I like that I can go pretty much any time of any day of the week & they’ll be open. I have no complaints about the food or service & I go about once a week. This is one of the few places with 3 dips that come with the chips! They have entertainment a few nights a week & it’s a clean restaurant. Can’t complain about that!

I love this place! We go at least 4 times a month. If you are looking for an authentic mexican place, let’s be honest this place proably isn’t for you. But it is one of cheaper and family friendly restaurants in luling. Service is great with friendly waiters and extremely fast service. Food is pretty good can’t go wrong with a good old enchilada. We need to talk about the drinks though. 2 for 1 drinks from 5 to 7 every night. Enough to get you pretty comfortable without breaking the bank.

This«Mexican Restaurant» is ok. I ordered the tacos al carbon and the carnitas were dry. «Fajita» had no flavor but al pastor taco was good. Menu says it comes with cheese lol! Once you add cheese it’s called a quesadilla. None of the tacos are actually al carbon they just put a fancy name to it. Their place is very Americanized if I might add. I added an extra star because the beer was cold so I’ll give them that lol.

My husband and I always order the Mesquite Grill. It is more than enough for 2 people. It has shrimp, steak, chicken and veggies. It comes with tortillas so you can make fajitas. It also comes with all the fixings such as sour cream, pico, a side of rice and beans. Also, you get chips and 3 different kinds of dip with any meal purchase the moment you sit down. Quick service too!

Not the best Mexican food but I’d most likely come back. The pricing is decent for the generous portion that you get. $ 16 for a huge combination plate of steak/chicken/shrimp fajitas. Great for kids and adults of any age. Happy hour is btwn 3 – 7 and you won’t want to miss out bc you will throughly enjoy their margaritas! A Mariachi band will serenade you on Thursday nights so come out if you want a little live entertainment while filling up on free chips and salsa and bean dip.

I enjoy this as much as the next chain Mexican restaurant. I love that they give two types of salsa and a black bean dip when you sit down. The mariachi band night is cool too. Overall quality is pretty good and a nice visit every time. I can’t remember the name of my favorite dish but it’s on the«new dinner menu» with steak, cilantro, onions and served with a grilled jalapeño. Next time I visit I’ll include this dishes name in my review. I only really dislike the beans and rice, too bland.

Sorry, but I didn’t care for this at all. The food was bland bland bland. The sopapillas were good but that’s about it. I had a chicken enchilada, beef enchilada and a chile relleno. All bland. The sauce was kind of sweet. The cheese was just about nonexistent. I really wanted to like it! :(

My wife and two year old love this place. So much so we go almost every week. It is definitely the best Mexican restaurant in the area. The 2−4−1 margaritas can’t be beat. The enchiladas verdes are very good and the loaded nachos are quite filling for an appetizer. The service is fantastic even when they are busy and it seems the place is always bustling.

Have been here several times. Great place for Mexican food. Like the tortilla chips served with 3 different dips, bean, and 2 types of salsas while deciding what to order. The menu’s selection is quite large, at least 6 pages. Wait staff is always friendly and efficient. Large portions. Inexpensive. Large parking lot.

So had lunch today with my daughter. Marg. Was delicious. Service was just ok. I will never recommend sitting in a booth. They’re cheap n if the person sitting at ur back likes to shake ur in for a ride. I hated it and found it very difficult to enjoy my food which wasn’t very good anyway. Tasted like it was premade and kept frozen than thrown in the microwave :(not even worth the lunch price. Very disappointing!

This is one of our favorite local places to eat. I’m not a huge fan of Mexican food, but the chile relleno is excellent. My fiancé gets the chicken quesadillas. He loves them as long as it’s grilled chicken. If you get the shredded chicken it is very wet and makes the dish soggy. They have 2 for 1 margaritas every night. The margaritas are great! The atmosphere is nice. They have a band every Thursday. It’s not the greatest band but it’s live entertainment, so why not! I also had my fiancé’s bday party with 20+ people there. They handled our large group very well! The staff are always friendly and when we sit at the bar(which we usually do) we typically have great conversations with the bar tender. We will continue to be regulars there!!!

Second try, just as dissapointing. It is run by Hispanic people, however the food is as souless and bland as a banquet tv dinner version of Mexican food, maybe it is banquet tv dinner. It was Luke warm, barely any flavor and they should be ashamed to serve it and to charge as much as they do. Taco bell has them beat, yes, it was that bad.

The restaurant is new. The atmosphere is good and there is ample seating. We have been here 2 times. The first was shortly after its opening. The 2nd visit was much better. You get 3 different dips for your chips. The black bean dip is very good. The food was clean and fresh. The prices are reasonable. We enjoyed it.
