My favorite place to eat in St. Charles Parish! Best sushi, hibachi, soups, etc. & awesome customer service! Definitely my go to place!

Service was pretty good the workers were very nice, food on the other hand, environment too was very disappointing very awkward and quiet like I didn’t want to talk bc everyone would be able to hear exactly what I would say. We ordered crab ragoons which were the oddest taking grab ragoons ever, then we ordered those jalapeño things everyone post pics of they were good but they weren’t completely fried they had cold spots in them just like the ragoons, yuck !!! The sushi rolls were pretty good but too high for the experience, and the hibatchi rice had no vegetables and to get the vegi rice was just as much as one with meat, other places the rice has the original vegis this rice looked like white rice with soy. So needless to say I will not be back and I am kinda sad bc it came Highly recommended

Great Sushi. Burning Man Roll with Tuna is exceptional. Shrimp Shumai was great as well. Only disappointment was no Wasabi with my to go order :/Angry Bird roll was good as well. Friendly staff. It’s sort of tucked away but they must be great if getting this much business with such a lack luster location.

Will have to say I was really excited to try this place because I am not a fan of Little Tokyo, but I was kind of disappointed for my first visit. I went to the restaurant that was here prior and was very happy, but when I found out they had changed names and possibly owners I was kind of scared but, optimistic. For my first visit with my mom, we ordered seafood udon, a crunchy roll, the bourbon roll, and shrimp hibachi rice. The crunchy roll was good which made me happy because of me ordering one from another place, and it tasted like mayonnaise. I mean, how can you mess a crunchy roll up? Well, needless to say I was very happy because it was actually very good. The bourbon roll was good with the sauces, one I am not sure what it is called and the eel sauce. My only complaint about this roll is how greasy it was. Felt like they could have let the oil drip off it a little longer, considering I have ordered tempura fried rolls before but none of them as greasy as this one. There were actual little puddles in the box. The shrimp hibachi rice I will say was very different than any hibachi rice I have had. It had large chunks of vegetables in it which made it look messy, I love my veggies but don’t like chunks that big, most especially with the possibility of cabbage hanging out of my mouth. Speaking of cabbage, that was a new one for me too, never seen that in hibachi rice. Well, I cannot say the rice was good because it lacked flavor. I had to add soy sauce in it, which, to me is not good. I like food that I don’t need to add anything to, because that tells me that it’s pretty amazing and that the flavor notes are perfect. Last but not least is the seafood udon, not my favorite by any means. It was salty and I feel like the crawfish did not blend well flavor wise with the salmon and broth. Would I be willing to try this place again? Maybe. Will I recommend it? Probably not. At least, if the flavors don’t change for the better.

The best Japanese place on the Westbank and in the top 5 in the New Orleans metro area. Stop in and give it a try. Prices are great and food is mind blowing. Dumblings, Rolls, etc all great. We try something different every time we go and have never been disappointed. We eat here at least once a week. And try the Crab Rangoon yummy. Now hungry. Adam Q Abadie Sr

The food was excellent. Ordered the salmon sashimi which was so fresh that it melted in my mouth.

I wish they had sushi lunch specials. And $ 14 for a bento box is too steep for lunch. Hibachi lunch was good not great. The clear soup was a large bowl but lacked fried onion topping which is the best part and had only 2 slivers of mushroom. The salad is iceberg and mayo. That dressing was not any ginger dressing I’ve ever had. Mayo with your lettuce anyone? I passed. The steak was tender. Cooked well. The sauce was a little too much and too sweet for my liking. The veggies were 90% cabbage. I don’t recall cabbage at any hibachi I’ve been to but I’ll take it over no veggies.

Best sushi Luling has to offer, but don’t get the tea. BBQ eel and 21 roll are delicious!

Delicious! The Luling roll and shrimp tempura roll were out of this world! I also ordered Crab Rangoon… very crispy and delicious, though not as sweet as I am used to it being. I really like the fresh taste of it!

Out of the other sushi places in the area, this is our new favorite! Everything was great; the look and taste of the food, the service and price. A friend told us about it and we wanted to try it for ourselves. The lo-mein is cooked with a delicious mouth watering sauce. The sushi taste is super fresh. Hard to pick a favorite on the menu. Great selection, too! We look forward to our next visit and becoming regulars! Don’t miss out!

First trip to Fujiyama was amazing! The menu is a good size. Not too small, but not overwhelming. The squid salad came out in a cute little boat. It was delicious! The squid was tender. The flavor was on point. One of the very best squid salads I’ve ever eaten. I also got a spicy tuna roll with rice paper. The tuna was amazing. It was delicate and velvety. You could tell it was good quality, fresh tuna. I will be back for sure! I would like to see a sushi roll dinner like other places though, where you can pick a couple rolls and get a soup and salad.

I just left after my first visit & I am impressed, not to mention thrilled to add another restaurant to my list of places to eat in the Luling area! Service was quick & friendly and the food was really fresh and delicious. We got the J-pops, lunch Bento box, and skinny roll. All were great portion sizes for the price, and we had enough leftover for one more meal. I’ll definitely be back!

Best sushi in the Nola metro area! Bourbon roll is the best roll I have ever had anywhere! Their hibachi is outstanding as well! The portions are very big and usually enough to split or have leftovers.

Love the food. Love the people. I haven’t had anything there that wasn’t delicious. They have a Bourbon Roll that’s delicious of you like spicy, or the Giant Roll if you don’t. The Sushi Salad is delicious as well. The hibachi is pretty good too, though they don’t do the shows there, because they don’t have the proper hookups. Like I said, pretty much anything on the menu is amazing. The staff are friendly and quick to serve the food. Erny and Boti simply rock! If you go regularly, you’re not just customers to them, you become friends. They’re awesome people. The location is a little hard to see from Hwy. 90, but it’s definitely worth looking for. Best sushi in the area. Being your whole family, they have plenty of room.

Dont let a 4 star or less review steer you away. There is Great service ;) if I do say so myself… but on a serious note, the portions are wonderful. It’s location is in its own corner of Japanese heaven. Best of all the people here are like family. You’ll feel the warm welcome of the servers and owner. The food will also leave you speechless. Presentation-wise and flavor. Best sushi around. No question about it.

Portions are too small. Chicken teriyaki looks like a side order. Hard place to find hidden from sight in the back corner of the shopping center. Spend a dollar or two more and get filled up with the entrée someplace else.
