It really shouldn’t take an hour for a cold, soggy BLT and barely cooked French fries. Restaurant wasn’t busy and service deplorable. You’d have to drag me back.

Mediocre food, a staff who can’t care less if you are there and high prices.

We just stopped in. Their window says in large BOLD letters that they are open for Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner Mon. — Sat. 7:00−10pm. We stopped by on Saturday at 3:30pm and were told they were closed. Since they can’t post accurate operating hours, we won’t return.

Breakfast was amazing. Three egg plate with sausage and the potato cakes with a side of biscuits and gravy. Service from Melissa was fantastic. This is a must stop.

Excellent veggie burgers & fries! The Americano was ok, going to try the regular drip coffee next time. I’ll definitely be back when I pass through the area for that veggie burger though!

Breakfast was good– eggs slightly runny but bacon & toast delicious. Pancake was dry, not fluffy at all. Service was slow but otherwise very good.

We were so hoping for the best burger in town. It was not! The pickle spears were great. The burger’s meat was burnt not good at all! We found it to be very expensive 3 burger meals, the pickle spears, and the funnel cake was $ 51 after tip. Beware!

My husband, friend and I headed to The Coffee Shop for a late lunch on Tuesday while we were in town. I had called ahead, asking about ingredients due to my husband’s allergies. The information I requested was unavailable, but I decided to give them a try anyway, as they were the most appetizing of the restaurant options available to us. We weren’t disappointed! The chai latte(with an added shot of espresso) was delicious! We even ordered a second for the road trip back home. Our group ordered the veggie rueben, veggie burger, broccoli cheese soup and beef stew. All got high compliments! The vegan-ness of the veggie rueben is questionable– it’s marked as such on the menu, but includes cheese, and no one could confirm the bread ingredients for us. Even so, my husband was hungry, so he just asked to hold the cheese and scarfed down his lunch. He thoroughly enjoyed it! The beef stew was tasty– our friend was very happy with his choice, and left there extremely full. The stew was packed full of ground beef and very hearty! I really like the broccoli cheese soup– it isn’t the typically stringy-cheesy like some restaurants make, but instead, its rich and creamy, and full of big pieces of broccoli. The veggie burger was tasty as well, with a dense patty and topped with lots of fresh veggies. Even though this could have been a recipe for disaster, the staff really impressed us on one point– the waitress took our order, and made a point to notate a VEGGIE rueben on the ticket. The cook made a standard rueben, with beef, and it was served to our table. Because there are many convincing fake meats on the market now, my husband didn’t pay much attention to the appearance of the sandwich. However, two bites in, he knew this was actual meat. I brought it to the staff’s attention, and they quickly replaced the sandwich with a sincere apology. We were blown away when, at the end of our meal, a woman approached our table and again apologized. She explained that she made his meal, and failed to read the ticket thoroughly, and admitted it was her fault his meal was wrong. She was concerned that she may have made him sick with her mistake, but we assured her that he didn’t have enough of it to do that. The veggie sandwich she made the second time was delicious, and we told her this. It really impressed us that she would take the time to personally apologize for the mistake. We genuinely appreciate that she made that gesture, and appreciate the delicious food she makes! The only reason I’m giving 4 instead of 5 stars is that the kitchen needs to be informed on the ingredients of their products. There are some who have strict allergies and knowing the ingredients could prevent a serious problem.

3rd try for me here. 2 unsatisfactory visits. Extremely inattentive service twice. This time chicken fried steak extremely greasy and an extremely tired salad as appetizer arrived at same time. The price and lack of interest in the customer will prevent my return.

Wandered into this great café for a coffee after BBQ at City Market. Cappuccino and the apricot crumble tart were delicious. Cappucino was one of the best I have had in Texas — seriously! It is a great place and a great respite from a hot day in Luling. It was a relaxing and soothing place to spend some time. The place is cavernous, cool and very well designed and decorated. Food is supposed to be good and if that Apricot tart and cappuccino are anything to go by then I believe it. My whole trip to Luling was an exercise is relaxing and a decompressing trip into a timeless hot Texas June day. Oh! the Bluebell vanilla tasted better too! They had Nestle and Haagen Daz ice cream as well.
