Linda and her staff were wonderful to work with throughout our wedding planning process and the day of the event! Linda is extremely genuine, laid back, and flexible. My husband and I were indecisive throughout the planning process. The day before our wedding when we did our walk through we asked for a few additional services/​changes which we felt bad for doing so last minute. Linda was able to make adjustments and happily did so with a smile on her face assuring us that it was not a problem at all.
Linda and her staff went above and beyond to make the day better than we could have ever imagined! The venue itself has amazing views of the mountains and the barn is so unique. All of our guests raved about the venue and staff saying it was the best wedding they had been to.
Linda is so knowledgeable and was great at answering all of our questions. She also provides above and beyond what other venues do and has so many decorations to choose from! As for decorations, there was very few items that I brought to the venue which was great since Linda has so much at the farm to use. All I had to do was provide Linda with what I liked and the photos I pinned from her page and she made it all come together perfectly!
There are so many personal touches at the venue which makes it so unique along with the staff who genuinely care about you and your guests! Linda and her staff made things so easy and helped us save money by being so flexible (i.e. not having to go with a certain caterer and allowing us to bring alcohol among many other things!).
If I could do it all over again, there is not a thing I’d change because Linda and her staff took care of everything so well and have given so much thought to the small details which make Khimaira so special!

My wife and I held our wedding here in late October 2015. The venue was absolutely perfect and we cannot say enough about Linda, her husband, and her staff. They helped make an event that could have been very stressful very easy and relaxing. The value they offer is fantastic and we could not recommend them any higher. Thank you Linda! It’s too bad (successful) weddings don’t yield repeat customers, because if they did we would certainly be back.

I can’t say enough good things about Linda and her staff. I had my wedding at Khimaira farm in late June, and it was absolutely perfect. Everything I had hoped for. Linda was always in touch and available to answer my many questions in the months leading up to the wedding, and she was very thoughtful in all of her suggestions for decorations and planning. The day-​of, Linda and her staff took care of everything, from chairs to timing to coordinating with our caterers, Main Street Bakery.
I’ll never forget the weather, either. Just before my ceremony was scheduled to begin, a storm rolled in. When the skies opened up, I sat in the bridal suite, getting myself ready to invoke our rain plan. Then, Linda came in. «Oh no, we won’t have to use the rain plan. Give it 30 minutes.» She was watching the storm on Doppler, and saw that there would be a break in the storm just long enough for the ceremony. And lo and behold, within the half hour there wasn’t a raindrop left in the sky! The sun came out from behind the clouds, and we had a picture perfect sunshiny ceremony. A true miracle!
Khimaira is a truly magical place to have your wedding. I couldn’t have asked for better!

Khimaira Farm is an absolute dream wedding venue and I highly recommend it. My husband and I got married there six months ago and we still hear from guests about how it was one of the most beautiful weddings they’ve ever been to. Breathtaking grounds include a field with a beautiful backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains, a country-​style barn with lovely indoor and patio seating and various gardens adding to the relaxing feel.
Service provided by venue staff was impeccable. We worked primarily with Linda, one of the most helpful, caring, talented and professional event planners I’ve ever worked with. Her attention to detail, prompt responsiveness and willingness to go above and beyond her responsibilities truly amazed me. I felt like I had a second mother by my side. She remembered small details of our taste and made suggestions to help ensure the vision of our special day was met. She had vendor connections, many of which we also selected. On the big day, everything ran extremely smoothly, as the majority of the vendors were used to working together at the venue.
One of the pieces I valued most is that I didn’t have to allocate a lot of time, resources and planning into decorations or setup. I am a planner, crafty and sometimes too detail oriented, and Khimaira greatly surpassed my expectations of providing an already beautiful setup. For extra pieces such as centerpieces, table clothes, cake display, and gift table decorations, Khimaira offered countless options for us to borrow, adding our own flare. The barn had a large flat screen TV to run a photo slideshow throughout the evening.
Khimaira offers add-​on options to the affordable contract, lessening planning stress and adding event special touches. Some of our favorite extra services included the photo booth, kids barn with professional child care services, bar tender, a s’mores bar and ice delivery.
Khimaira helped make our wedding day perfect and their team holds a special place in our hearts.

Went to a wedding at the farm and found it completely charming. The backdrop of the mountains and the beautiful sunset made for a true romantic time. Lots of space inside the barn and on the grounds. I could definitely see why this is a popular location for weddings.

What a great venue! I traveled here for a summer wedding and really thought I had died and gone to heaven. The land itself is gorgeous– green mountains, beautiful farmland. On top of that, they’ve converted the barn into a perfect reception space– unique and homey. I’m sure I would’ve loved the wedding regardless, but the atmosphere in which it was held was really the cherry (or six cherries) on top.

Came here for a wedding this summer and was blown away by the venue. The interior of the «barn» was gorgeous– high wooden beams, twinkle lights, a wide space for dancing, tables set around, a more secluded table area on one side, and bar area in the back. Perfect for a mid-​size wedding and a truly magical atmosphere. Everything was very well-​maintained and in great condition. Pictures really don’t do it justice. Though I didn’t plan the wedding or have contact with the owners, they were present at the ceremony and ready to take care of any issues. If I lived anywhere near VA, I would absolutely want to get married here!

We just got married at Khimaira on August 3, 2013. Our entire experience working with the farm has been wonderful! We couldn’t have been happier with our venue. We held our ceremony and reception on site. Our ceremony was in «the field of dreams» which looks out over meadows that fade into the mountains. Our reception was held in the event barn. All of it was perfect! Linda, owner of the farm, runs a tight ship and has the warmest heart. She’s the kind of person who hugs you hello when you meet for the first time and treats you like family. It is obvious how invested she is in making people’s dreams come true on their wedding days. She, her family and the farm staff are always adding something new to the farm to improve it even more, such as a swing porch. This venue is affordable «one-​stop shopping» and so, so much more. The town has a lot to offer and it is a worthwhile destination wedding for guests travelling from afar (almost all of our guests had to travel to attend). I can’t say enough good things about Khimaira and would recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful place to hold a wedding!
