Seal’s Septic Service

I have dealt with Seals Septic several times for plumbing and once for septic tank cleaning. Each time they have been friendly, helpful, and quick to respond.

I just got my tank pumped by them and am furious. Before I booked the appt, I asked the woman in the office exactly how much it would cost. I also told her the precise location and road condition and that they would have to dig out the septic tank (though ”dig” is an exaggeration — there was about 3 inches of loose dirt on top of the tank that they just pushed aside with a shovel in 5 minutes). She told me it would be $ 295 unless it was more than 50% solids, and that was it. Then after they pumped today, they hit me with an extra $ 75 charge for digging! I called the office to complain and pointed out that she had not told me this when I asked the exact cost, and if I’d known, I would have pushed the dirt aside myself. She was extremely rude and said, ”Well when you get your car fixed do you expect the mechanic to give you the exact cost?” I said yes, I do, for the things he is already sure he will have to do. Finally she reduced the charge to $ 50, which is still outrageous. I’ll never use them again, and plan to tell everyone I know in the area about it.
