I purchased glasses from Sterling. I was talked into frames I didn’t want. Wrong prescription. I had my eyes rechecked from another doctor, and he could not believe it. I recommend not to go Sterling. New owners and they are expensive. Go to American Vision. You’ll get good service and glasses for less.

The new ownership isn’t as good as the old. I doctor was nice but the employees behind the counter I felt we’re pushy and just not as warm as the old employees. Additionally, the(blonde) woman who helped me, told me that my insurance was no longer accepted(used to be with olde owners) but that if I paid in full, all I would have to do is fill out a form(with my insurance carrier) and I would be reimbursed. OK, sure, I l believe you. Turns out, of the $ 139 dollar exam cost, my insurance old covered $ 39. AND on top of that, I had a $ 25 gift cert that the woman said«just use that next time, since you are being reimbursed». At the time, it made sense to me. As its ended, its’ just another $ 25 I am out. If you’re still reading, the above mentioned form needed a few things from Sterling for me to complete, and it was like pulling teeth to get them to get me it

This place deserves a zero. They are the most unprofessional business I have ever dealt with. They lied to me and told me that my prescription for contacts is not covered under my insurance(a total lie after speaking with the insurance 3 times). They would not call me back, and when I finally got a hold of them, the owner yelled at me on the phone and proceeded to hang up on me telling me he can’t do business with me because of my insurance that he is supposed to accept. Never again will I waste my time. I went to American vision next store and am very happy with their service.

I purchased a pair of Prada here a few months ago. Julia was very helpful in helping me pick out a pair that fit my face and that I would be happy with. She seemed very enthusiastic about making sure that I found the right glasses for me. I was surprised at how patient she is considering that there are plenty of people who come in and try on glasses just to kill some time. She didn’t know that I really planned on buying some. I also purchased many prescription glasses, sunglasses, non prescription sunglasses and contacts from Sterling Optical and have always had an amazing experience. The staff are very knowledgeable about the frames that they have an can help pick frames that would make anyone look amazing. Their turn around time is quick so you do not have to wait long to enjoy your new eye accessories. The entire staff has always been kind and helpful and will remedy any issue that you have. I would(and do) highly recommend Sterling Optical to everyone i know.

This place has HORRIBLE customer service! Marc and his helper with the blonde hair and the accent are extremely unprofessional and should not work with people. They are rude and very nasty and not helpful at all. Don’t waste your time and money on this place.

Had problems with all of the other optical businesses in the area close to where I work. Dr Kaplan was able to get my prescription right, had some great frames and it really felt like a family business, not a chain. My friend also got her contacts here and was really happy!
