American Logan’s is a great little chain place that serves up your basic southern /western type goodies such as ribs, steaks, chicken and some seafood. This location is conveniently located on the busy Wards Rd. strip through town and I almost always hit the bar area. The bartenders(Brittany and Kevin) are the usual weekend workers back there and they do a bang up job of keeping me fed and refilled with drinks. There is a large dining room to the left as you walk in and a display of the steaks that are available so you can do a little window shopping if that is your thing. I like the bar area as I tend to dine alone — free peanuts on the bar(and tables) and plenty of tv’s with your favorite sports hanging around the bar area. The aforementioned nice bartenders and decent food make for a good night whether you are there to eat up, or just have some snacks and a cocktail. They could do better with the quality of meat in my opinion. The steaks have not been the best or most tender. The ribs, on the other hand, are fall off the bone good. Chicken has been fine and the sides are hit or miss, particularly veggie offerings. Good luck with that once you get past potatoes. I am not a dessert guy, but they have some decent ones. Prices are pretty good for the type of food and quantity. Overall a solid place with great customer service. Parking all around the building.

Great customer service — spot on! Food and drinks were great, thanks! The wait staff deserve to be recognized for their great service, especially to that experienced in Ohio.

I’ve literally eaten here for years and have seen it decline year after year. The portions get smaller as well as the menu. On my last visit I noticed they have all but cut out any real burger options, they use to have so many. The steaks as other reviewers say are bland so I started avoiding them. To many other places in town to get a good steak. Food is par. IMO the best thing there are the grilled wings which have became more expensive and the quantity less. Service is hit and miss. To sum it up they have a good burger, bland steak, and a decent atmosphere.

The steak was great, but the macaroni and cheese only so-so. The best part was our server, Kristen. She was very attentive and made sure we had refills of bread and drinks before we even realized we were running low! All in all, good food for the money and great service!

I travel regularly for work and like to have a good bone-in ribeye everywhere I go. It’s always the most flavorful piece of meat you can get. Except for at Logan’s Roadhouse. This steak came out at a perfect medium rare and was one of the most juicy and tender steaks I’ve had in a while. But there was NO flavor! I’m a purist who believes that the way the food comes on the plate is the way it was intended to be eaten with no extra seasoning added, but I had to COAT this thing in way too much salt just to give it some kind of flavor. Not to mention that the rolls, while super hot and soft and fresh, had no taste unless you covered them with honey spread. And the Caesar salad dressing wasn’t that great either.

Good stuff! …for a franchise steak house. So how do you decide on a steak house when there are 4 others within a 5 minute drive? Go to Unilocal! Really nice place, fast service, friendly staff, and good eats for a good price!

I like Logans and keep coming back even though I am dissatisfied most of the time. Go figure! My last trip to Logans I had the mushroom swiss burger with fries. I waited a long time to get it and when I got it it was cold. They seem to have a problem getting the food to the table hot. Otherwise I like the atmosphere and the peanuts. The fresh rolls come out warm and are scrumptious. They also serve a good salad. The servers are super nice and they usually keep your glass filled. If they could get the food to the table hot I would probably give it at least 4 stars.

Want a great steak and potatoes place? Visit Logan’s Roadhouse on Wards Ferry Road in Lynchburg. This place has been around awhile, but they have a new manager who visits every table to ask the customers if everything met their expectations. If only more businesses understood this level of customer service. Add to that, great, inexpensive menu choices and a very friendly wait staff(including Chris S and the enchanting new Emily), it’s a restaurant experience you don’t want to miss. Kudos to manager Rob!

First impressions weren’t great as there was a long hair sitting on top of our steak. But, the situation was handled extremely well and the service was great. The food was delicious and we wouldn’t hesitate to stop here again when in the area!

It is really hard to beat their $ 13.99 deal anytime Monday-Wednesday and 3pm-5pm Thursday-Sunday. The selection of entrees isn’t extensive but I think even the pickiest of eaters can find something. For $ 6 more you can share an app and a dessert. All if their sauces are made in house. I got the Bourbon Bbq Chicken and the meat itself was seasoned well, the cinnamon apples were really good. The sauce had a really nice flavor. Our waitress was friendly a little overly talkative for my liking but the service was good. I hadn’t been to Logan’s in a long time but will definitely be making a return visit a lot quicker!

It was absolutely amazing! Took my sister out one night and Alie was the coolest. She taught us how to say a word in Mandarin. I don’t remember what the word was, but it was fun to have a really white chick know Mandarin. It was by far the best experience in Lynchburg. Thank you Alie for entertaining us. We jag a blast.

I would give it more stars but the fact that Logan’s doesn’t have wifi is a killer for me. As a business traveler I expect to be able to connect and get work done while having dinner. Come on guys, it’s almost 2014.

We go here a lot with our kids. Logan’s has the best steak in my opinion. Rolls are delicious, kids love the peanuts all over the place.

A good choice for steak in Lynchburg– located off Ward Road and easy to find. The atmosphere is casual to country with a floor covered with peanut shells. A big bucket of peanuts is on each table but be cautioned not to eat too many lest you«spoil your supper». The emphasis is on steak and ribs. We had the baby back ribs, which were superb and perfectly done with a delicious barbecue sauce that didn’t overpower the taste of the meat. We also had the salmon, also done perfectly(I like mine a little rare) and each meal came with two sides. One of our number had a steak which he pronounced as better than his own, which is saying a lot as he fancies himself the grill king. The sides were also very good. I had the rice pilaf, which was tasty albeit a bit dry as pilaf often seems to be. Once it had marinated for a bit in the salmon juices it was perfect. The salmon came with a Tex=Mex sauce that was also subtle and not overpowering. The«steak maven» also had mushrooms as a side, a huge dish of them, perfectly spiced. Another side choice is a huge baked sweet potato. The place was moderately crowded on a weekday so the weekends might be pretty crowded as well. There’s a large bar area to wait in should that be necessary. Service was prompt, friendly and efficient. Plenty of parking. We didn’t have any alcohol but the offerings looked extensive. If you join their club online you get a $ 5.00 off coupon you can print out. you can also check out the menu. Prices are in the $ 10 – 15 range for most choices.

Taken here on a date night but I guess I didn’t get the memo that this place is for casual date night. The peanut shells all over floor greet you at the door, so ladies leave the highheeled shoes at home. It’s a sporty atmosphere. You should like steak if you’re going here. I ordered the Logan, their«best sirlion». It was cooked as I asked and seasoned well. All and all I’d go back again but not dressed up.

We have been several times and the Ribeye dinners have been consistently good. When my wife and I don’t get steaks at Wegman’s and grill them ourselves, we can depend on Logan’s for a good steak dinner. My wife likes the grilled chicken dinner, also. Again, it’s consistently good and I love the peanuts before dinner.

Delicious, Hot meal every time I go! One of the best places in the burg, but get there early… They get crowded quick.
