What a pleasure to move to Lynchburg from the country and have access to this vast (in comparison) library. The resources are extensive and well arranged but the staff leaves much to be desired. Some of the staff seemed to act as if I were disturbing their relaxation by asking to check out a book. Approaching the desk they give you this fisheye «What are you up to?» look. Maybe they could work on that in the staff meeting. The kids section is very large.

Very good public library. Big kids section with plenty of books. Variety of movies, both children and adults. They also have an interesting historical section upstairs.
