Sage Tryall Salon

This is by far the most unique, professional and friendly salon I have ever been to. They first gave me a tour around, which was so professionally presented. They have a complementary hand wax dip, seasonally scented and was chocolate when I went. My favorite part was the hair washing room, which is meant to be relaxing, so it is in a dark room and they ask that no conversation is held in there. While you get your hair washed they have two people massage your hands and arms, and you also get a head/​neck massage. It was so relaxing. Not only do they have these wonderful complimentary services, they do a fantastic job with cutting your hair. Their prices are not bad either for a hair cut $ 40-​$ 60 depending on the stylists expertise. I would recommend Sage Tryall Salon to everyone in Lynchburg.

I have been going to Sage Tryall almost since it opened. It has evolved from a great salon to a superb salon. There is nothing they don’t think of to make each experience enjoyable! The entire staff is so professional and they are all there to help all the clients not just their own! Sage Tryall is unique in so many ways. It is not your average salon!!!

This salon goes above and beyond to make you comfortable and happy. Very professional! Prices are really not that bad for the service you receive, they take their time with you. The hair washing and massage feels amazing! Its an overall great and relaxing experience. I will recommend to my friends and family. Maria and Brooke are awesome!

I had a wonderful experience. Staff was wonderful and friendly and Brooke Wood did a beautiful job on my cut, color and high lights. I also received on my first visit a paraffin wax on my hands, and a message on my scalp and shoulders. I also get a paraffin wax on my hands with each color. I loved my experience.

This place is so classy! Todd and his crew go to extremes to make sure you are valued and appreciated. I love their incredible treatment. The team that works there runs like a fine tuned machine with customer service far superior than many other places. I love my hair styling experiences and have referred many.

So happy I found this salon since moving into the area! I really look forward to the pampering and extra attention I receive there. Everyone is so friendly there and they go out of their way to make you feel special. I love the massage chairs, the head and shoulder massage in the shampoo room and the paraffin hand dip just to name a few.
They also provide free bang trims in between appointments.
They even call you a day or two after your appointment to make sure that you are happy with the way you your hair turned out.

What would have been my first time as a client of Sage Tryall Salon, my appointment was canceled ten days into a fourteen day wait to have my hair cut and colored. The stylist/​owner decided to take a last-​minute trip out of town instead. Impression = made. Unilocal review = left. Recommendations = none ever.

Rude. Full of themselves. Fake. And big headed. I would recommend fusion hair salon over this salon EVERY DAY. If you are going to spend a lot of money, you need to get the whole package.

Sage Tryall is fantastic! Right away I noticed that the receptionists are professional and super friendly. My appointment started right on time. The shampoo is always my favorite part. It feels amazing! I even had my neck and shoulders massaged a bit. They cover your face with a warm towel that smells nice. It’s so relaxing. My haircut was great, too. I don’t think my hair has ever been so pretty. They use great, high quality products. They even offer to curl it, or make it really sleek and straight. It is definitely worth the price, in my opinion. An appointment at this salon is such a treat. Highly recommended.

This group of people are the BEST at Customer Service!!! AND, they do hair great too. Yes, they’re a bit expensive, but you get a lot for the money! It’s not just a haircut here… but a mini head/​shoulder massage, and if you’re adding color, you also get a hot wax dip for your hands followed by a hand/​arm massage too. I can’t say enough nice things about Sage Tryall. I have been going to them for years and will plan to continue as long as I live here!

I moved back to Lynchburg recently and had to find a new hair salon, I have been gone for years. I read a Unilocal review on this place and decided to give it a try. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! The head massages in the quiet shampoo room are to die for and they are the best at hair color anywhere. Oh and while you are getting your head massaged in the shampoo room you are also receiving a hand and arm massage as the final step in your complimentary paraffin wax hand treatment. This place knows how to pamper and they know hair … cuts and color. I am thrilled!

What a great place and a great staff. You are welcomed from the minute you walk in the door and just have confidence that they know what they are doing. How refreshing from the $ 10 haircut and look. If you are looking for a great cut, style and experience SAGE is it!

This is the best salon I’ve been to in many years. You get so much for the money. Which I might add isn’t over priced at all. My stylest Ariella was amazing she knew what she was doing made u comfortable. I walked out with a wonderful experience beautiful haircut. I highly recommend this salon to anyone who cares about quality and customer service. They showed me the products they used which is all paul mitchell bc its a paul mitchell focus salon. However not once did anyone pressure me to buy any products. Which I was amazed. I love the way my hair felt and looked when I got done. She took her time. Made me feel welcomed and comfortable. I was in Lynchburg for school and was having a hard time finding a salon that would take care of my hair they way I was use to back home in California.
Sage ended up being even better than I could hope for. I’ve been to Gene and Ariella and they never disappoint
I love color and tend to get three different ones in my hair every time and they are able to make it look HOT! I’ve never had as many compliments about my hair as I’ve had since going to them.

as a stylist myself here in los angeles i’m used to my mom having good hair. so when she moved to virginia. i was a little worried. even more worried when she started cutting her own hair… and then fell on the floor when she went to walmart to get a cut! something had to be done.
went on Unilocal and found sage tryall salon. with mom on skype i called and made her appointment. they were super sweet and we’re able to take her within a few days.
i was eagerly waiting to hear from her after her appointment and so when she called to show me her hair her face said it all… she had a blast… they opened the door for her, gave her a tour, gave her a paraffin wax treatment for her hands, and gave her an awesome shampoo. by that time she didn’t care how her hair turned out! but her cut looks awesome. she loves it. and i love it.
mom said her stylist JEAN was super sweet and helpful, and was a pro at the shears. she said the salon was clean, and relaxing, and can’t wait to go back.

Sage is the best salon in town! The head massages are something I look forward to and surely make my day better! They take you into a dark room that is like candle-​lit to wash your hair and it is just soooo relaxing! They end the hair-​washing/​massaging session with a warm towel wrapped around your face. That’s just like icing on the cake! The customer service at Sage is impeccable — they call you the day before to confirm your «reservation», get you something to drink (water, coffee or wine!) as soon as you walk in and call you back the day after your appointment to make sure you are happy with your new cut! They are just so nice and lovely. Mallory is my stylist and she is wonderful. I would (and have already) highly recommend Sage to my friends or anyone to try out. I agree with Tessa M. — you will love it! :)

I only get my hair cut twice a year (I know that’s not «good» for your hair, but I like mine to stay long and it grows slow) and I always get it done at Sage Tryall. Mallory is my stylist and she always does a wonderful job and does exactly what I ask. My favorite thing about Sage Tryall is the way they take you into a dark room with black walls and ceiling that is very dimly lit and so relaxing to wash your hair. They give a full scalp massage and cover your face with a warm towel. It is all so relaxing and a great experience. All the stylists are very nice and its a great hair-​cutting experience.
