No other place like it! Coffee is the best in the burg and it’s a experience like no other! They are always striving to give you the best products and the best time! Come once and you will completely understand!

Overpriced and only fair taste. It’s a really cute atmosphere, but never anywhere to sit.

My fave coffee in town! Island nut latte and Christmas in a cup are great. I also just love their drip coffee! Food is yummy, can’t go wrong.

Simply the best espresso based beverage you can get in Lynchburg. I recently had a latte at Stumptown in Manhattan(the best I’ve ever had) and Muse comes pretty close. The La Marzocco machine makes all the difference.

A victim of it’s own image, The Muse provides spectacular food and beverage options for those looking to break the Starbucks mold, but ultimately it fails do to the requisit hipster mentality. They know the product is high quality, thus… they don’t have to give a rat’s ass about you, your order, or the environment the both of you are in. 2 coffees and 2 breakfast items took 27 minutes. They were delicious, but set us behind. Lesson learned. While locals don laptops for work/study, earbuds were ever present to drown out the obnoxiously loud fusion jazz that the willfully pretentious continue to insist we all«need in our lives». The Muse has absolutely everything necessary to be everyone’s favorite spot in Wyndehurst… but it also has the unnecessary things that will find ways to irritate you once you’ve had to wait THATLONG for such simple niceties.

Very tasty and great coffee. But they take way too long to make your food. And they are pricey! If you want a sandwich and a cup of coffee your garenteed to spend $ 15… I’d rather go to Neighbors place or Olive Garden and spend that much on lunch. For the time it takes for them to make the food their sandwiches should be around $ 5 my opinion. They are good but not $ 7-$ 8 good.

I roast and grind my own beans and I’m a trained barista, and the only reason I even mention this is to somewhat show how serious I take my coffee. I often complain about all those independent coffee houses, that while I appreciate the contradiction to Starbucks, simply most of those small coffee houses have no clue how to make a proper cup of coffee. Even if they have good quality beans, most simply have no clue about proper milk temperature(never too hot!) and how to properly froth milk– to name a few. This is not the case with Muse. I was in town for a funeral and had an hour to spare. Quick search on Google for coffee shops in the area showed nothing but«Dunkin Donuts/Starbucks/Dunkin Donuts/Starbucks» and Muse –about 6 miles away. I, of course, decided to drive the distance since nothing offends me more than to refer to the garbage they sell at Starbucks as «coffee» and I’ll spare you my thoughts about Dunkin’. As we were driving to Muse, I shared my feelings in the car about cappuccinos in the US, and how simply no one can make a proper cup of cappuccino. At Muse, they obviously share my feelings, and so they made sure to train their baristas properly. How refreshing! What I hate about most coffee shops is how they fail miserably in three main categories: Their beans are low quality– shiny and burnt and therefore stale(see: Starbucks’ beans), they have no clue how to froth the milk properly, and lastly: they don’t know the difference between latte(steamed milk) and cappuccino(froth milk). Another aspect most coffee shops do wrong, is serving the milk too hot– almost boiling. All of the above is what should be considered as «coffee sins» and at Muse they are all saints. Sarah who made my cappuccino made it to perfection. The milk was frothed perfectly, the milk itself was just at the right temperature, the quality of the beans was fantastic, and the golden ratio of my cappuccino(espresso/milk/froth) was just right. I looked at their beans’ container right besides their machine: beautiful medium roast, not burnt, not shiny(stale) — no wonder that aside from the proper preparation, the espresso in my cappuccino tasted fantastic. Since I’m such a fanatic about my home-roasted beans, I tend to roast a batch before I travel so I can make my own coffee on the road. I can guarantee you that whenever I’m in Lynchburg, you can count on me visiting Muse despite me having my own beans with me. Good job, Muse! Highly impressive, and thank you to Sarah for that excellent cappuccino!

I love The Muse, they always have excellent service. The coffee is out of this world and the menu includes a hummus plate and a variety of breakfast and lunch items that are all sensational! I was a little disappointed in my breakfast smoothie when I ordered on 04÷07÷16 and asked if I could substitute the peanut butter for another nut butter, but you didn’t have any so I was told to just leave it out. Have you tried this without one of the major ingredients? Not very good. In any case, I still love you all. :)

Great, homie coffee shop that has a unique atmosphere spanning from the art on the walls and the spiral staircase with a sort-of cat walk area with a few seats. The coffee here is very good. The always have a variety of roasts and their specialty drinks are always well put together. Definitely a must stop coffee shop.

I’ve been a regular customer since I moved to Lynchburg about 9 months ago, and have never had a single bad experience. Their coffee keeps my blood pumping. Bottom line: its an awesome place that is extremely consistent with a great staff who are always friendly.

I love this place! I’ve been drinking their coffee for years and they have decent food options on the menu — points for serving breakfast all day. The breakfast wrap with avocado is fantastic, and I’ve never had a bad variety of brewed coffee. Lots of different seating, great light with all the windows, and the Wi-Fi rarely gets slow even when The place is full of people with connected devices. probably would rate higher if they brought back the Mediterranean wrap and other healthy/vegetarian options.

The Muse had some of the best coffee I’ve had(and I’ve been to coffeehouses all across the states, from LA to Orlando… literally). The«Christmas in a Cup Latte» was so yummy. Their Breakfast Burrito was stuffed with eggs, cheese, bacon, and black bean hummus, and was made hot & fresh, so it did take a few minutes. Kaley was so kind and helpful for us! Even the décor had such a nice feel. 5 stars!

My wife took a real liking to this café. Wonderful experience every time. Baristas are talented and very friendly. This is a warm and friendly coffee shop!!! This is not a den of hipster baristas that will ignore you and then act as though they are bestowing upon you a blessing! Trust me, I just moved from the Los Angeles area and was so pleasantly surprised to meet such talented and kind baristas!!! christmas in a cup changed my life fyi.

Orange juice was really good. I also got a bunch of water. I actually just came here because I had to get a bunch of stuff done. I was pumped to land a huge table that let me not be cramped at all. Wifi was super fast and consistent and the Christmas music made the cold weather way more bearable. All around awesome.

Excellent quality coffee with a nice ambiance. Both indoor and outdoor seating available but it fills up quickly. Service was a little slow when I went but could’ve just been a busy time. Parking is also very easy in the front and back. Only the very limited seating leaves a little bit left to be desired.

TL: DR coffee is excellent and the ambiance is trendy, quiet coffee-shop feel. Great place to do homework and drink coffee. I have gone here for the past four years of college. It’s my go-to spot when I need to get something done. The Red Tea Party is one of the best drinks there and one of my friends said it was a great choice for people who don’t like coffee. Pastries are always yummy.

The feel of the place is great, but the space is limited. I tried to study here once or twice, but it always got too busy and packed. Luckily, there is outdoor seating, but that doesn’t really work out when weather isn’t the best. The coffee selection is great. The menu changes every now and then to match different seasons and holidays. The Christmas menu is my favorite! My favorite«regular menu» drinks are the Ketten Tea(earl grey tea + coconut + peppermint) & the Island Nut(coffee + coconut + hazelnut). It’s a little pricey, but worth it.
