I walked into Blossoms right after spending the morning at a nearby cemetery for my father’s cremation;I wanted to purchase a bouquet for his funeral service the following day. I showed the gal at the counter a photo of what I had in mind(from the FTD site). I was immediately informed, in a very dismissive fashion, by woman in a back room, that they couldn’t do it(not enough time). I did understand, since the funeral was only 24 hours away(it was an elaborate bouquet). So I just asked the girl at the counter what they could do as an alternative. She showed me something else, and when I expressed interest, another woman in the back snapped at me that I couldn’t have such-in-such flowers contained in the arrangement. So again I asked them if they could recommend something else that was doable, and no further suggestions whatsoever were given. After several moments went by, I was shown to a table to look through a book of bouquet ideas. Soon I found one that I liked, which had a Virgin Mary statue within the arrangement, and when I showed it to the lady from the back, she looked exasperated and told me I would need to provide the statue myself. By this time I realized that I just needed to admit defeat and go. The lady did finally suggest that I let them put something together for me, and was slightly friendly at that point, so this is why I am giving two starts instead of one. I nonetheless left the store and simply ordered the original bouquet I wanted from the FTD website. It turned out to be spectacularly beautiful, provided by Courtyard Gardens in nearby Everson. Blossoms may want to give their staff some sensitivity training. Treating customers in a needlessly abrupt fashion is never appropriate, but a business which makes its’ money from sensitive life situations, including bereavement, should strive to be welcoming and cordial.

This place does make undeniably beautiful bouquets. But unless you’re specifically needing a fancy bouquet, I would not recommend this shop. In-shop customer service does not exist here. I’ve popped in various times while in Lynden shopping around for plants, and have never once been acknowledged by any staff at any time. No greeting, no one offering help of any kind, not even eye contact. Usually when I stop in there is one or two ladies working on arrangements towards the back of the shop and they never make any effort to connect with customers. Maybe if they had a larger variety of plants to enjoy perusing on your own it wouldn’t seem as bad, but honestly the offerings of this shop’s shelves do not make the inattentiveness of the staff worth it. It’s simply an unwelcoming place to walk into, which breaks the deal for me.

I received a bouquet as a birthday gift from Blossoms and it is exceptionally lovely. The person that ordered it for me requested many different, colorful flowers(not the usual kinds) and fragrant ones. The choice of flowers was wonderful and the fragrance is awesome. Just a beautiful job — and the delivery was done when they said it would be. Highly recommend this florist — from a very particular customer

What a diamond in the rough! The store is spacious and filled with quality plants and adorable vases and pots to put them in. The staff is friendly and helpful and I found exactly what I was looking for. After calling all around the area for a fiddle leaf fig, I found not one but two at this gem of a store!
