Having a great time here with swing and belly dance — and I haven’t even tried the yoga or pilates yet. Prices are reasonable especially if you can buy a class package. The room is just the right size, and it’s got a friendly, funky vibe, with belly dance coin belts as curtains, colorful props from all the disciplines stashed around. Nissreen is probably the best pure social swing dance teacher I’ve had, steeped in history and full of energy and fun. Audie is a wonderful teacher! First found her at a festival and now I am her loyal follower.

I don’t want to hate on a local business but I think these existing reviews are kindof out of date with the current state of this place. I’ve had some nice classes here but it seems very disorganized. I’ve had the instructor not cancel a class, leaving a room of us lying there waiting for her for 20 minutes. I’ve also had the instructor show up 10 min late for a class. I’ve walked into the room and had the instructor be texting and not even greet me. But on the other hand I’ve had some really good classes and the price is great! I regret buying a package as the last class I tried to attend the instructor didn’t show for which makes me not want to try again.

My last experience with yoga was sweating to death in Rutherford attempting Bikram Yoga last summer. How nice to enter a studio and not immediately gasp for air. How nice to enter a studio where the instructor is sharing some insightful and interesting stories not pertaining to yoga(but they actually benefit how you’re about to approach your class). And it’s a testament to the instructor and class that you’re so into it that you don’t even realize that it’s actually tougher than«Hot Yoga» ever was. After going steady for over a year now I’m upping my star-age to 5 because the classes continue to push me and the instructors are never less than stellar in their approach and care for each student.

Came all the way from NYC for the Latin Dance Class(Sundays at 1:45 with Dana) and it was well worth the trip! The class was super fun and Dana is a remarkable dancer and instructor! She was really good at giving one-on-one tips and breaking down the steps in a way that was easy to follow. Since everyone in the class was a beginner, Dana walked us through the basics of Salsa and even provided some interesting info on the history of the dance and the different types of styles that have emerged. She was funny, energetic, and made all of us newbies feel totally comfortable! The studio itself is a great space. It’s big and inviting and not at all intimidating! I’m definitely going back for more classes with Dana! Wish I didn’t live so far away :-(
