These place sucks, they people who work here doesn’t not know English so if you wanna order from this place you need to learn Spanish, the owner is a jerk, the restaurant is full of rats and rouches, someone should call the health department on these place, the food sucks everything either look over cook, under cooked, or re-heat, and to those that don’t know what that means is that these people will have food of 4 – 5 days ago and still sell it, they place inside is fucking nasty everything is filthy, the kitchen door is next to the dumpster and I have personally seen BIGASSRATS run from the dumpster to the inside of these place, the cook never washes his hands even after he goes to the bathroom, he will eve pick his nose and cough and still won’t wash his hands. First and last time I ate here I got very sick got food poisoning I had to pay over $ 800 in hospital bills

Being in the area of Lynn, my wife wanted to find a really good Spanish restaurant to eat. Lynn is known for good food at places like this, just a little hard to find the good ones. This place is very similar to ones in Boston, they price everything to the pound. So to feed for two or even three, your better off getting a order of rice. Then for meats and poultry you can mix up all you want, fried steak, pork, chicken all that good stuff. They have plantains, empanadas, and other small bites to choose from. The only downside is that a lot of the people that eat inside the restaurant just leave their mess there and the restaurant itself doesn’t pick up the plates right away either. So if you see the table take it. Overall great place for food, expect a food coma afterwards.

Delicious food for take out. Very busy in the afternoons. They have seating area but I’ve never dined in. Customer Service is ok.

The prices and portions are very generous here. The quality of food is also decent. However, I agree with the majority of other reviews. Ordering here presents a huge challenge for those of us who can’t communicate in spanish. I have noticed that even though there is a «line,» they would attend to spanish speaking customers first. Parking has never been an issue as they have ample parking. I find their parking lot repulsive at times. I have seen dead rodents lying around and live ones scurrying by even during the day.

Great food but I feel a bit intimidated when I go in to order. I feel like they favor their ethnics than they do for other race. Also they move around sooo lazily. Pick up the pace…

FOODISGOOD. SERVICESUCKSINTHEAFTERNOONAFTER3PM! The morning crew with Josie is cool. They serve as professionals who wants to keep the buisness. The afternoon crew are DISGUSTING! They are so wrong for yelling at NON spanish speaking people. They take their friends over people who are waiting on the line. They also CHARGE$ you more if they dont know you or if you don’t speak spanish. I watched this happen for years. They try me time to time. NOt Having it! I don’t get why this is still going on. I hate going there in the afternoon@3pm and after. This non english B@#Tch today charged me extra for steak that she weighed on the scale. I couldnt get through to her with people waiting behind me. I just left. I will take part fault. I knew better to go there after 3PM. but, was in the mood for the food. She acted like she didn’t understand what I was saying. After tonight, No more! That’s it. I mean it. I’d rather go to subways or something next time. These people are F@#$ing crazy. WHY are they STILL working there? Definetely need someone to realize what is going on.

Bring a person who speaks Spanish with you or you’ll get the leftovers… rude service at times but when you have Spanish friend order for you the food is good… fish soup is off the hook!

Their food tasted pretty good esp their yellow rice and beans! The food portion is good. ONLY thing I hate about this place is the PEOPLE are just rude! Esp the elder man who works there! They expect you to leave a TIP. If you gave the exact amount they would give you a dirty look! Those people who works there are just plain rude! The place is Dirty… Enough said

I work near Tipico and this is a favoritye lunch spot for my co-workers and I. They say familiarity breeds contempt and the variety and quality of the cuisine makes this not to be the case. Luckily there are spanish speakers in the lab where I work that can translate the menu and make suggesstions. The ox tails, the chicarron, the chicken and the fish are all excellant. The Mufungo was exceptional. We have had Tipico supply food for company functions and have received extremely positive feedback from employees.

Yo Tipicooooooooo! Rice, beans and fried platanos! Heaping take-out container with at least four servings worth of food for like, $ 5.50. God. Like. Screw fast food, get some real food and real portions for great prices. The fried tilapia was also excellent!

This place has great food and friendly service. Not the easiest place to order from if you’re not a spanish speaker, only because there is no written menu. They thankfully speak english, but if you don’t know what you want before you get in there you might be in trouble. It’s always been fairly busy, so I’ve never been able to pick their brains about what they have, but I can recommend rejeno de papa, alcapuria’s and pastelito’s for quick $ 1 snacks. I usually get red beans and rice with chicharon, and some malta or… gah, I can’t remember then name, but it’s a sweet, pink fountain drink made from beets? Don’t knock it till you try it, it’s good! I eat the pastelito’s on my walk home and have the rest for dinner :3 I read the 1 star review, and I think it should be updated because they’ve done some great renovations. The only reason this place isn’t 5 stars for me is because they don’t make it easy for me to be able to deviate from my norm and choose new items since I don’t know the span of their menu! I hope they do this soon, I’d love to know what else they can offer.

This place hits the spot. You get a LOT of food for your money and its all delicious. Even pretty late this place was really busy. Rice, beans, meat… hearty stick to your ribs kinda food. Hit it all with some lime juice and hot sauce. oh man.
