Found out about this place from a friend. I’ve been going to chinatown for a few years now. im a wicked asian foodie. i love it(if youve seen from my other reviews) but im in college right now. so i really dont always have the time to commute to boston to get my noodle/kimchi/fish fix. Lo and Behold after wandering aimlessly thru lynn having no idea where to go. i finally found essex street, and found this place huzzah! get to the front door, its pretty grimy and quite shabby, excellent, a real asian market! i love it: D walk in, the place is PACKED with food items, pretty much almost anything you would want to find in a Cmart in chinatown, but all local! the prices are fair, the prodduct placement is easy, they even have mini bitter melon, ehehe, and chinese broccoli(yum yum) and they had prepared meals(and a vietnamese cold cut sandwich, not sure of the real name, havent had one? time to try) needless to say, my first experience was very good, and the staff were actually really nice, which is totally unexpected. and i will be coming back here a LOT lol i love my asian foods, and i love making them too!(i think its the severe lack of dairy and still taste damn good, unlike some cultures…) my only request for this store and maybe i didnt see it, more canned fish varieties please, i didnt find eel! but there was plenty of sardines, and after finding out i dont mind them, ill be getting those too :3
