Public Storage

I have rented a unit here for the past 1.5 years. The facility sucks, back door is always broken, and carts always missing. But what really bugs me is that my rate has gone up twice in that 1.5 years. I am now at a rate 30% higher than when I started. I spoke to the people at the desk but they have no influence on rates apparently. I spoke to the corporate office and he literally told me I should just move my stuff out if I don’t like the rate increases. Horrible business with zero interest in keeping customers.
Don’t fall for the low rate! They are betting on you not wanting to move your stuff out when they hike up the rates!

I am a new customer renting in Lynn and it has been a pleasure dealing with the staff so far. They have been pleasant and accommodating. Kelly helped me get started and answered all of my questions, thoroughly. The property is always clean and very secure, which makes me feel at ease about the safety of my belongings. Also, the hours for accessing storage is a plus. I would recommend that anyone looking for storage check this place out.

I have been in this facility for about 3 months. It is clean and well lit and secure. Cheryl the Manager is fantastic. She is friendly, professional and tireless. Always available by phone or in person, she does a great job!

Clean unit. I felt safe moving my stuff in and out. The people there are really nice and helpful. The contracts and rules and all of that stuff are very clear. Nothing but a good experience.

Water damage and mold in my unit. Stay away.

I will state for the record this place sucks! I needed some stuff stored so I figured id try public storage since its close by and seemed decent on the outside. I got a good deal a dollor the first month then I had to buy there lock $ 20 bucks so its really $ 22 and change with tax. That’s ok, I got a 5×10 unit and it sounds small but is a good value since they were offering it to me for $ 67 dollors a month. The space is on the second floor and is good of course on the outside it always appears good. My real problems didn’t start until the elevator broke and was broken for a good three months, whatever ill use the other elevator means ill have to walk alittle farther with all my shit. I get to my locker and the lights on the ceiling don’t work. All the other lights on the floor work except where my locker, how fucking convenient. I never bitched or complained about it. I can live with these issues then after three months the rent went up ten dollors without them telling me, I just had noticed it went up from my bank statements. Then another three months later it goes up another ten dollors. $ 85 bucks a month on a 5×10. I’ve had it and I am in the process of taking my stuff out. There crooks and wont get my business anymore. Bad practice and as far as the «house» manager who lives there she creeps me out. It has nothing to do with her butch looking appearance but everytime I exit the gate she steers me down while smoking her cigarette, its not once its all the time. Regardless public storage is crap there’s plenty of storage places to go to. It makes sense why people’s stuff end up on storage wars because no wants to pay an arm and a leg for a storage unit. You will be sorry if you invest in public storage.
