Super competitive prices and I trust these guys to do a kick ass job. I would refer them to anyone who owns a import especially a VW.
It is difficult to find a good mechanic one that you can really trust these guys are a class act group who will get the job done fast and not try to upsell you on crap you don’t need thank you bow wow of Lynnwood

I intend on editing this review IF the matter at hand is resolved correctly. Here’s what happened to me today.
I dropped off my car to have $ 600 worth of repairs done. I arrived to pick up my car, paid, grabbed my keys and left. I got in my car and it wouldn’t start. IT WOULDN’T START. They key wouldn’t turn. I went inside to tell the employees and sat inside while three employees, including the owner, looked at my car. The owner informed me that he had no idea what happened but that he was not responsible, as the ignition was not part of the car they worked on. WHAT?!? He denied any responsibility for THE CAR NOT STARTING. Wow. I thought this place fixed Volkswagons?
I should mention that my car is relatively new and no such issues existed before I placed my car in the possession of this shop.
I asked him if I was then responsible for the diagnostic for this new issue at their rate of $ 104/​hour and he said yes. And I would be responsible for parts to fix this new issue. He repeated over and over and over again that the car not starting has nothing to do with the parts they repaired. This man has my car, my $ 620, and has made no promise to return my car to me in the condition in which it was given to him besides making the agreed-​upon repairs.
I think the mechanic caused the damage, as he did start and drive the car several times over the course of the repair. What I know is that I didn’t cause the issue and that my car did not have that problem when I gave it to them. So far it’s been a terrible customer service experience and I’d advise others to look elsewhere.

I brought in my 76 bus for a couple of long term projects. These jokers left it unlocked. Someone broke in, chain smoked a pack of cigarettes, stole my stereo, toolkit, camp stove, heater, etc. They trashed the bus, left a bunch of empty beer cans. THE «BURGLAR» PEED IN IT.
Bow Wow claimed that the door was Jimmied open despite there being no sign of it. They agreed to pay the deductible on our insurance, but when insurance wouldn’t cover it they just stopped answering my emails.
In addition to that, they just didn’t do a very good job working on the bus. Took them forever to source parts and sometimes they just wouldn’t ever do it. I’m still waiting on a quote for heater ducting and a blowe, as well as a new spedometer. I’ll never get the quote which is fine because they’ll never get my business.

Bow Wow was a great find to service our 2010 Jetta. It’s not that we had any problems with the dealer. But it was tough to get return calls or even straight pricing for scheduled service. Cody at Bow Wow was easy to work with. The shop is a shrine to VWs. These guys are clearly VW & Audi enthusiasts, just the kind of mechanic you’d want when your German car needs fixing. Convenient scheduling, great service at a cost 30% less than the dealer and support for a local independent business. What more could you want?

I have a 1976 VW bus.
I came in with an appointment at 8:30am for a valve adjustment. I slept in the bus right outside shop because it needed to be cold for them to do this, my way of trying to save time. (I NEVER GOT AN ESTIMATE which I know now is illegal, as they have a sign in their shop) I asked if they could also rotate my tires, check my brakes to see if they were worn to the point of replacing, check my hazards/​right blinker, the tranny fluid/​clutch since it was grinding and a recent sputter of losing power. Just quick inspections. I immediately dropped the keys off as soon as the gate opened.
Right off the bat I was told they needed to finish some work from the previous day so I was pushed back even though I made an appointment. I was more than happy to wait since I had made no plans. I come back 4 hours later, not getting a call or anything to see the progress (12:30 now) my bus was on a lift, didn’t see anyone working on it. Came in and left with no updated info from the front desk, but was glad it was on a lift. I’m gone for another 3 hours, no call, so I walk back.
As I’m walking up they were backing it up to take it for a spin, killing it twice before leaving/​burning the clutch in 1^st as they left. So I wait and as they finally bring it back. No paper work has been started, so I wait, read a couple chapters of my book, start getting a little impatient now. I walk up and ask after he’s done on the phone. Paperwork still not done but they tell me everything is good, all my lights are working except my reverse lights. Weird, it worked before I came in and now they’re trying to send me off without reverse lights? But having worked before dropping it off obviously I wanted them to fix it.
More time, more waiting. I hear the front desk person who I was dealing with say he’s going to his car real quick, at this time I head outside to get some air. He is now working on my bus… didn’t want me to see this? Who knows. I am 8 hours in at this point waiting. They come back in and add another hour of labor to my bill. With my bus on a lift rotating tires should be cake, checking the brakes should take minutes, tranny fluid no time. The only real labor time would be the valve adjustment. I’m fixed up with a $ 426 bill after having said he knocked an hour and a half of labor off already, being $ 95hr. I’ve waited almost an entire work day, having dropped it off as soon as they opened. (It is around 4:45 now) I argue that this is ridiculous, and after finally compensating for overpricing me they go down to $ 356. Still an outrageous price.
I am only passing through town, but all I have to say is not to bring your VW here. I literally redownloaded Unilocal just so I could warn those about this shop. So far everything is running smooth, but by golly gee damn if you want to get taken advantage of and throw your money down the drain this is your place
This has given me the push to go buy my own Bentley, Chilton, or how to keep your VW alive book asap as I will not be trying to find a shop crossing my fingers hoping I don’t get screwed.
Although we had problems the people working there were pleasant, they weren’t mean at all, it was easy talking to them, and they seem very knowledgable.

I’ve taken my VW bug to Bow Wow two times and had excellent experiences. These guys are honest and will only do work that needs to be done. The staff are friendly and explain things very well. I will be taking my car here from now on!

These guys know their stuff! I have a 2000 Beetle that I love almost as much as the humans in my life, and I brought her in because she had some funky electrical stuff going on. Bill did a phone consult, and advised I bring her in. They were able to get my car in right away, and put her on the scope.
We found out there were a couple of blown fuses that my regular mechanic couldn’t find (VWs are picky little things that sometimes require a specialist). Everyone here is knowledgeable, friendly and amazing.
I will definitely come back to Bow Wow and want all VW owners to know this is the place to go if you need anything VW — from stickers to merchandise; they have it all.

I have a 1972 Beetle that I take there whenever it needs some love. These guys are reliable, super helpful, inexpensive, and very very knowledgeable. A repair job they did on my electrical stopped working a day or two later and they fixed it for free.

I’m really, really happy with this place. I’ve taken my ’86 Westy there for a few things that needed to be done, and they did the job quickly, well, and solved the issue each time. Not once have they tried to «up-​sell» me on something I didn’t need (I’ve been a VW owner for a long time, and know enough to know that when I see it). I’ll definitely keep giving them my business.

Not a happy camper. I get in my car to go to work one morning and it doesn’t start. The battery’s not dead so i call AAA and have it towed to Bow Wow, since they say something about Volkswagen expertise.
I called the guy to make sure they received my car and told him what was going on. All he needed to do was take a look at it and give me a call back. Yeah right, that was at 11am and my calls weren’t returned the rest of the day until they closed at 6pm. I had no idea if there was something very wrong with my car or not, and apparently wasn’t making it to work the next day.
I called THEM the next day since my voicemail wasn’t returned and my car was up and running! Good to know. But it needed an overall tune-​up and new wiring, which according to them would cost around $ 330. I decided to catch a ride to pick up my running car and take it to Dino’s in Woodinville where i’ve gone before. They did an overall tune-​up for $ 130 thank you very much. Oh did i mention that Bow Wow charged me $ 50 just to take a quick look at my car? fools.

I don’t care how good the mechanics or customer service is… this place is waaaay over priced. 65 dollars for a 13 dollar emergency switch? You kidding? Also, I went to this place and another and was quoted 450 dollars to fix a problem with the rear-​end… went to the tire store and had the air adjusted and tires rotated for free… problem solved. Kinda sketchy. They get an extra star for working on aircooled engines.

Dishonest mechanics. Silly unnecessary charges. Did a computer reset to see if it would fix my problem, did some other work. Neither fixed my problem. Full charge anyway. Then charged me another computer reset fee after subsequent work. Save your money and heartache and go to a VW dealer!

I have been using Autovice Service about since they opened. I have had many Volkswagens. The guys at Autovice know my car very well. If you have a older VW, these guys know it better than the dealer. They definitely cheaper as well.

If you have an air cooled engine look no further… Bow-​Wow definitely has those missing parts for your VW. The guys at the counter can answer any question you may have, they are VW encyclopedias… they also have a great mechanic if you need some serious work done, but be warned, it might take 2 weeks to get your car in as they are quite sought after.
