Do not go to him. I had a severely depressed friend that was having severe anxiety issues. From these she was self medicating and destroying herself. She started to make changes for the better, asked for help, and was attempting to make the right choices. She asked me to find her a counselor so I found David. He seemed nice on the phone, but after only 3 sessions, he told my friend that she should just go to AA and said she didn’t need any other appointments. He gave her no referral for another counselor. Seriously horrible. You couldn’t look at my friend without thinking «she needs counseling». His actions were unethical. Even if he wasn’t able to counsel my friend for any reason, he should have ensured she had another counselor to go to. She was suicidal only two month prior and his actions could have had devastating consequences.
