When you leave the apartment they charge you for everything they can to not give you back the security deposit. They charged us an additional $ 800 after using our $ 400 security deposit for«painting»(we didn’t do anything to the walls except a few thumbtack holes), cleaning the refrigerator that we already cleaned, replacing the chrome drip pans underneath the stove burners(which we actually made look better than they did when we moved in), and various other things. That’s $ 1200 in total charges. With the amount of money that they charged us you would expect that we trashed the place, but the only thing wrong with the apartment was some stains on the carpet. We tried to dispute the charges with the complex management staff and with Neely(regional manager) but they ignored our complaints and phone calls for 2 months until they sent the bill to collection forcing us to pay. I don’t recommend any properties owned by Epic Asset Management. I have lived at 2 of their properties and they have terrible customer service, they aren’t quick or helpful when trying to get something fixed or an issue resolved and we have also heard a lot of bad complains from our neighbors.
