We were in a bind to get a very high living room ceiling painted in a hurry. Our home was being listed for sale and our attempts to paint a cathedral ceiling on our own failed. On a Sherwin Williams store recommendation, I called Paulson Painting. Kevin, the owner, called me back and said he would come out the next day to look at the job. I also added a 2nd ceiling and skylight to be painted that I hadn’t mentioned to him. Although I had already purchased the paint, I thought his labor price was fair considering they use new, high quality products and I hadn’t considered all of the prep time of draping and taping that was necessary. Kevin did not stay to do the work but gave detailed instruction to his crew on what to do. He coached them to do a quality job, with attention to specific areas of concern for me. I must say that both painters worked very hard — it was not an easy job or angle to paint. One was much more experienced than the other and he didn’t seem to mind teaching and directing the younger employee on what was needed at every step. They were both very professional and polite the entire time and it is the very first time that I have had residential workers of any kind that conversed only about the job they were doing. I’ve employed a large number of «professional» home improvement workers over the years that were very unprofessional, but the two from Paulson painting focused on the job at hand. I am a very picky and detail oriented person and I can indeed say they did a very clean, thorough, and professional job.
