What happened to the Stride Rite at Alderwood?
I think it no longer exists, and perhaps for good reason. I do like Stride Rite’s shoes. Good return policy, holds up well, and supports growing feet.
This location didn’t have much to offer however. The selection of Stride Rite shoes available at the local Nordstrom was as much if not more, equal pricing, and better sales associates.

For a company that talks about customer service so much they sure have failed with this store. I brought my daughter in for shoes the other day the woman behind the counter barely got off the computer to help. She didn’t measure her feet — something they say they always do, or offer to show us what was available in her size. In the end I showed her three pairs of shoes she wanted to try on, she brought me one, handed it to me and went back to the computer. She didn’t help put the shoes on or check the fit. I went to pay and she was snarly at best. I bought the shoes because we needed them and they were on sale otherwise I would have walked hard and fast! Sticking to Nordstrom next time.
