Taco Time

I’m not sure what it is with the Taco Time locations up north but so far I’ve had 2 very poor experiences. The first was with the food at another Lynwood location on the west side of I-​5, now the second is with this location. So far the food I am currently eating is good, quick service inside, however incredibly rude staff. The employees customer service is at an all time low when it comes to attitude and customer experience. I will not be returning to this location.

Third time I’ve ordered a classic veggie burrito and got the wrong order. I order it exactly how it is on the menu board!!! No thanks I’ll take my business somewhere else.

Don’t get stuck in this drive-​thru trap!
I have gone by this Taco Time during my lunch hour a few times in the last two weeks.
The first time, it took about ten minutes to get through the line. My order was correct.
The second time, I was ordering for two. Got through the line in ten minutes. One meal came out correct but an entrée item was missing from the other, which I did not notice until I was down the road. Turned around, waited in line for fifteen more minutes to get the entrée item replaced (and the tots from the other order).
Third time, I got in line which was almost out to the street and sat there for 10 minutes without moving. I finally gave up and drove away without food.
I do not recommend this location, there is something very wrong with the service speed.

Busy drive thru– but my order was just two Soft Burritos. Whoever made them did a terrible job. Why? Because both my soft burritos only had beef. No cheese, lettuce, tomato– nada.
I don’t know if it’s forgetfulness or someone just didn’t give a rats ass; but definitely need to ensure proper execution with their food. I mean, not even cheese?!
Though, the worker at the window was friendly and sweet.

I am really hesitant to score a fast food restaurant 5 stars because is there any fast food restaurant deserving of 5 stars? So much of the food is prepared in advance (although Taco Time’s is the freshest…) so it’s hard to award a high rating to this sort of food. Anyways…
We had about 20 minutes to kill before meeting with some friends for some bowling, so we decided to hit the drive thru instead of having bowling alley food for dinner. It’s hard to eat healthy when you go through the drive thru, but there are some options at Taco Time. I had their «Fit Hit» bowl with chicken… and a serious avalanche of diced tomatoes. I know tomatoes are ubiquitous on «Mexican» menus, but damn, this was overkill. I hate tomatoes but I stomached the mound of them. The bowl itself was decent — brown rice on the bottom, diced chicken and tomatoes on top. Not much else to say. It was warm, but not overly flavorful, although there was a hint of spice/​heat.
Service was friendly, took a couple minutes, nothing out of the norm. It’s standard window service fare.

Chicken taquitos are the bomb. Order that. You will love it. It’s so creamy with grilled chicken plus the outer layer is crispy. Nom nom. Are u hungry yet? You better. If you’re like me, order hot sauce on the side to dip it in.

The food is always good. but if you ever go through the drive thru you’ll never get your sauces that you request and pay for. it just happened to me for about the third time. I get that I can be busy but it’s part of the order not that hard to get right. the drive thru people need to be more conscientious of what they’re doing. so they can ensure the orders are correct. this last time I even asked if the sauces were in the bag and I was told yes they were in the bag. but they are not.

I love this place. Guacomole is top notch and the crisp buriittos are to die for

The food is tasty and consistent. The drive-​thru attendants are always nice. I have not been inside this, or any other Taco Time location.

Food is always good. Got home with a Drive thru order and my ladies burrito was not in the bag. Drove back and it was sitting on the shelf. They gave me the burrito but didn’t seem to care or offer anything for making a mistake. Check your order before leaving…

Okay. I love taco time food, but the customer service at this location sucks. I came in this evening to get a couple Tacos… I asked for no tomatoes and the sauce on the side. Simple, right? Well apparently not. Also, I was the only person in the restaurant. Stupidly, I didn’t double check my order and left since it took them about 15 minutes to prepare. Maybe they had to go kill the chicken or something… So I get almost all the way home… What do you know, sauce is on both tacos. So I drove back. Did I get an apology? No… The girl said… Let me see, grabbed my food bag and said, I’ll remake these. I asked, seeing as this process has taken me about 30 minutes and will probably take another 15– do I get a discount or anything? The girl (GABBY). said no but you can have a bag of crustos (.99). Well I got home, and what do you know… Tomatoes on my tacos! I called and told them they messed up again. And when I told the girl there were tomatoes she said «yea that was what I was confused about it didn’t say sauce on side on the screen». Um, so I said «you are blaming me? For your mistake? How is that my fault it wasn’t on your screen? I was standing right there you could have asked. Seeing as I spent over $ 10 for 2 tacos I was irritated 1) it took 45 minutes for me to get my dinner 2) the girl couldn’t apologize! Say you are sorry and fix my order! How hard is it to say «I’m very sorry I’ll fix it right away. Were you born in a barn? 3) my husband actually came out looking for me because it took so long. 4) don’t blame the customer because you screwed up. It’s totally unacceptable… I can’t comprehend how someone treats a paying customer so poorly.

This place has grown on me. Staff is friendly at the window.
I’m just not a fan. I don’t eat fast food a lot in general anyways but the price doesn’t seem to match up here with the quality. It’s not awful but it’s not great either. You can get a lot more at Taco Bell for a lot less and the same quality it seems. Maybe Taco Time is a LITTLE better quality but their prices are way too high for what you get, I at least that’s what I think

We just moved next door. We really wanted to like this location. How convenient our favorite place next to our town home. Unfortunately we will be probably finding another place to take our business. We ordered and paid for a chicken nacho what did we get you ask, a pile of chips with what looked like old melted cheese sparingly on them with a few olive and a glob of almost iced cold refried beans. The only thing that stopped us from taking it back and making a big deal was we just got off the road after driving an hour and a half and my husbands back is injured. We will probably be looking for a different place to go. Sad too because we used to drive a good way for taco time near our old place. I am including the picture of our receipt and food. Make sure if you want nachos just to go cheap and get chips with pico ;(

It was my first trip to Taco Time and I didn’t think it would be that great. I had never heard of it before since I’m from Hawaii, but since my boyfriend and I were hungry and needed to find something fast we decided to try it out. The food was great! A little more expensive than other fast food places but I think the quality was a lot better and probably healthier too so it was definitely worth it!

Bit into a hair in the food and left a message for the manager to call me back. A week went by and they did nothing. I tried them again tonight and this time they gave me a half filled pile of cold sludge.
I went back for a refund for either order and was told they would only refund a small portion of one order. I asked for the manager’s name and because this is how you handle an angry customer, was told they wouldn’t give it to me. Already angry from the garbage food and worse resolution from an uncaring staff, I got upset at the counter and the staff member decided she would escalate to a confrontation.
A very polite staff member in back offered to pay the refund himself, which I refused. He then asked me to leave or he would call the police because I was harrassing the staff. I was a total dick for sure, but I was just angry about being given bad food twice and treated like they didn’t care.
The staff member at the counter’s conduct and the management’s refusal to contact me is reprehensible. In a weird twist, the only person who behaved professionally and correctly in either circumstance was the gentleman who tried to defuse and then end the situation quietly and calmly.
Nevertheless, at best you run the risk of eating poorly made food. At worst, you too will have to deal with their puerile uncaring register-​biscuits (in addition to bad food).

I went to this location and had a bad experience. The food was raw, the cheese was not even melted. also the salsa and chips had no flavor. I EXPECTED MORE FOR 25 BUCKS, could have got a better experience at another cheaper Authentic Mexican food. This place really needs to work on food preparation, because it was nasty and cold. the only thing good was the tater tots and they where lukewarm. Stop being lazyand do your job right. I hope my family doesn’t get sick from that raw cold food. yuck. I am not going to waste my time and money coming back here. So wonder its empty there all the time!!!

Taco Time is one of the fast food joints I don’t really mind going to. I appreciate the locally sourced fresh food that they serve. My favorite is the whole wheat Natural Soft Taco. It always fills me up and tastes so good, be sure to have them add medium salsa inside of it.

It’s my go to fast food… I do love them crispy bean burritos with lots of hot sauce! They are so naughty! I know there is protein somewhere in there so I really don’t feel that guilty.

Taco Time is my favorite fast food restaurant EVER. Their food is fresh, delicious and filling. You cannot find better fast food anywhere.
