Eye Candy. I love this store. Even if I’m not in the market to buy anything, it’s so much fun to just look around and dream of being capable in the kitchen. I like to come here for 2 main reasons: 1) to get a replacement Co2 tank for my Soda Stream Penguin Sparkling Water Maker and 2) to shop for the cooks in my life. I know what you’re thinking, this place is expensive but you’re going to get a knowledgable staff to help you out and quality products. Plus they usually have some decent sales going on, just ask. Speaking of SAVINGS, if you bring back your Co2 tank to be recycled, you only pay $ 16 for a new tank versus the full cost for a new one. Nice. Finally, if you want to get to this store quickly, since William Sonoma doesn’t have a rear entrance, park at the rear of the store and enter through Pottery Barn. Happy shopping!

William and Sonoma located in Alderwood Mall is certainly not for the faint of heart but if you can maintain an open mind you’ll find yourself surrounded by some real quality items. Let me first start off by confirming that cookware here is pricey, all the way down to the utensils. That said the money you put in you will get back in the form of a superior product that is built to last. As this was my first time buying high end cookware I opted to start small and purchased a complete set of spatulas and a bunt cake pan. After plenty of time to break in the Spatulas I have been pleased with the results, the rubber is durable yet pliable and the metal handles are functional and provide a nice clean look. The bunt cake pan worked perfectly just follow the instructions and the cake will turn out perfect every time design and all. Customer service was attentive, not very overbearing which you tend to expect and they were courteous giving me enough space to browse. Right now I don’t have the means to purchase their cookware sets but as an avid amateur (don’t want to give myself too much credit) cook when the time comes I would certainly love to own a set for myself. I would recommend going to this store to get an idea of what’s out there in the upper echelon of cookery even if the price is out of range.

My wife and I have been shopping at William Sonoma for a very long time at various locations around the Seattle area and at this particular location. Each time we were greeted with a very friendly staff and helped us with particular products when needed.
Until yesterday (3÷22÷15 around 4:45pm — according to our receipt) we were shopping for a new measuring set and also ended up purchasing a lemon juicer. While shopping around just to take a look at the other products we noticed an elderly man constantly following us around the store. At first we didn’t think nothing of it until my wife mentioned something and decided to move around the store 4 times and by the fourth time it was obvious this guy was watching us. So we decided to split up and see what would happen. I went to go check out the knives and my wife went to go check out the pots and pans. The old man stayed with me and the young lady at the counter went over close to my wife.
I hate bringing out the «race card» on this situation but there were other customers in the store they could have been helping or watching. After walking around while they were following us my wife and I noticed we were the only minority customers in the store. Thanks for making it obvious and uncomfortable to shop in making us feel like the «colored criminal» — not every minority is gonna steal from your store.
In the end we ended up purchasing what we needed and left.
I’m not expecting this store to do anything with their employees but just so that Unilocal viewers hopefully read this and are informed with the type of staff this location hires. As for the minorities that shop here, please keep a heads up and take notice if you are being followed around the store and say something.
I’m sorry for this review but it’s already bad enough this country is still struggling with racism, but the last place you need it is when you are shopping for something or anywhere else period.

They have a friendly greeting but truly not friendly or helpful. Even the manager (taller male) was snotty.
Once you tell them you have a return they seem to get worse.
I said I did not want my receipt emailed just printed, and that seemed to be an issue — he said they are trying to save trees and didn’t want to print my receipt
I wouldn’t go in store. Just shop online
The display of the store is the only good part in my opinion.

This store was very busy today. It’s Satuday and it’s Christmas season. But even with that, staff were outstanding and attentive and smiled. One staffer, Trisha? who does the stocking behind the scene, helped me on the floor. I bought a tea kettle and she helped me look at several that were placed higher than my reach. I am disabled so her assistance was most appreciated. I was very impressed with this store and the employees who work here.

I just love to look! Although prices are outrageous, everything is beautiful. Yes sometimes you can find that the staff is snobby but not always. If you are an experienced shopper like me, you don’t really need a lot of help anyways. I kind of like to be left alone and not pressured into buying something I don’t want AT ALL. I love to buy myself a little something special every now and again. Like their cup cake mix and an adorable cupcake decorating set. Why I actually love this store is that they do free (YES I SAID FREE) cooking classes for kids every few weeks or so! My daughter is so excited to head to the easter egg decorating class this weekend with a friend.

Prices are much higher than other kitchen stores, and customer service was nonexistent. I bought linen napkins that were ruined the first time I washed them even though I followed the directions on the tag.

We experienced really terrible service. My fiancé and I were trying to set up our wedding registry, but after 45 minutes we left the store without a registry and very frustrated.
The heart of the story is that the Williams and Sonoma staff made us feel unimportant, were really bad at communicating with us, and at least one staff member was incompetent with the computer. I also want to note that the store really wasn’t that busy, and there were a lot of staff around. Maybe it was a staff resourcing problem. Anyway, 45 minutes is enough time for to set up a registry and receive a scanner. If the staff had kept us informed of the problems they were having, or admitted they were having problems instead of saying «just one more minute», I probably wouldn’t be so upset at my experience.

This was our first stop for our wedding registry. We didn’t plan on registering at WS, it was just the first store we saw upon walking into Alderwood that screamed «HOME APPLIANCES.» We were certainly woo-​ed by all the fancy shmancy kitchen stuffs (mostly my aspiring Swedish Chef of a fiancé) and ended up starting a registry there. All the employees were incredibly sweet and helpful, especially as we swam around the pots and pans wall that got me a bit overwhelmed. We won’t be putting the majority of our home needs on the WS registry because I feel uncomfortable asking for such expensive things from my guests who are already spending a ton to go to our destination wedding, but this is definitely the spot to go to if you want quality cookware that will last as long as you expect your marriage to… which should be forever. ;-) (According to the fiancé, you can’t go wrong with Le Creuset and copper cookware!)

Whoooo-​eeeeee! I just wanted to buy a pot or something. Walking into WS definitely illuminated my ignorance. When I saw a single pot costing a couple hundred dollars (!), I nonchalantly walked toward the cookbook section (they’d be in my price range).
Yes, I don’t spend heaps of time in the kitchen, but I didn’t know cookware was for those at a higher pay grade — or maybe I’m just not that into cooking. If I were, maybe I would have been in awe and engulfed in light while floating through this store.
At any rate, I bought a cool cook book for my sister-​in-​law and went on my way (with a paper bag on my head with «pauper» scribbled on it!).
