Very nice place to stay. Nice people always clean and quiet day and night. The rooms have a small fridge, soda and snacks machine outside ice machine. Very cosy and the maid very nice person. I enjoy my stay with my kids and fiancé. Good price too. It’s daily not weekly. I would definitely recommend it. And I will come back again… ;-)

This place is pure disaster!!! I read the 5 stars review for this place and it is so obvious that the reviewer is a family member of the hotel owner! No one in their right mind would give this place a 3 stars or above! Here are the reasons… 1) DIRTYDIRTYDIRTY!!! Right after we checked in, the guy that works there ran into our room to start vacuuming… then it left me wondering, what in he world is he vacuuming in such a last minute? Then after walking it, the room looks gloomy. THe bed sheet looks brown and dirty. Carpet looks dirty but luckily i brought my flip flop to walk around the room in. Then we move into the bathroom, it had this strong odor that smell like the toilet pipe had a leakage. We thought that someone was in the room a few minutes before we arrived and took a number 2 there. Then we realize after 3 nights of staying there that the smell was permanent in the bathroom. The worst surprise came after our first night sleeping there. We came back from visiting LA the second day and when I turned on the light, I saw a cockroach running into small cracks in the wall. After that encounter, my gf and I knew that this place is filthy!!! On our last night there, I spotted a dead cockroach at the corner of the room which was not there b4!!! I believe you can judge the cleanliness of the place by my description of the cockroaches!!! 2) Cheap place! The ice bucket was stolen from Motel 8 and the bathroom cup was stolen from Ramada motel… The ironer is chained to the wall with a 5lbs heavy chain!!! Another thing that really made me mad was that the during my online booking, they didn’t mention about the«no guest» rule. When I arrived to the motel, I picked up two of my LA buddies to come along with me to the motel before we head out to explore SoCal together. When I was standing at the checkin window, an indian guy ran to me and said something to the girl behind the window… then he asked me «bro, how many people sleeping in the room.» I told them that two of them are my friends that will be hanging around with my girlfriend and I a lot. Then he told me straight up that I can’t stay there becuz they don’t allow guest. I stood there in shock for a few seconds because of his rudeness. At that moment, I was glad that he won’t let us stay because I would’ve asked for a full refund since they denied my stay. But then the indian girl behind the glass window said it was fine. I mean seriously? The motel is probably worth $ 10 a night but I had to pay almost $ 60/night and they can’t even let us have guest? Afterward, I felt uncomfortable during my whole stay there. The Indian guy kept paying attention to our every move just to see if our friends were going to stay with us or not. We were unloading our luggages and I can see him slyly observing us. Then later on the day when my girlfriend went to the car to grab some items, the guy pretended to stretch and doing workout across from our room just so that he could look at what we were doing. We felt like we wee in prison!!! 3) The toilet has to locate in the stupidest spot of the bathroom. Basically infront of the toilet is the sink and you have NO room at all to put your legs if you sit down to go do your business. It was so cramp that I had to sit sideway when going to the bathroom. 4) They advertise that they have wireless internet. Honestly, it was slower than dial-up and it doesn’t work most of the time. I had to tether my laptop to my 4g the whole time I was there. 5) There are sooooo much more to criticize this place but I think that what I wrote is enough to explain the 1 star rating… However, there is coupe things that made me give this place 1 star instead of 0 star(if possible)…They had a flat screen tv with lots of channel to choose from. Another plus is that they have a small fridge, which is not seen often in hotel rooms and motel. My overall conclusion, I will never ever step foot back into this hotel even if it is given free for me. Lesson to be learnt is that I will pay the extra money to stay at a better motel in the future.

Really nasty. Your feet turn black walking across the carpet. There is red mildew/mold in the bathroom. Cobwebs on the ceiling & in corners of floors. Flat rate of $ 46.99 somehow becomes $ 62 after taxes & fees. Yeah, ill never stay here again.

This small motel has a lot of «charm,» i.e., it’s relatively old, disheveled, and quirky. If you’re a brave soul who has chosen to rest his weary head in Lynwood, then it’s only a short step further to accept spending a night in this odd, economical lodging. The motel is owned and managed by a polite, near elderly husband and wife team. Unfortunately the maintenance and upkeep falls short of chain-motel standards, as the rooms are adequately cleaned but very well worn. The bathroom grout is peeling, the furniture would be rejected by a thrift shop, and the iron is literally chained to the wall.(The ironing board is free for the taking though). The rooms are well equipped with: full bathroom, elderly bar fridges, flatscreen DirecTV, proper air conditioning, and _excellent_complimentary wifi. Curiously, mirrors are placed horizontally next to the bed. Mr. & Mrs. Owner, what exactly do you expect me to get up to here? My room also included a mysteriously quadruple-locked door, purportedly a storage closet. But do we know that for sure? I suspect a cache of silver doubloons, or perhaps the stockpile of «Holiday Inn» soaps that are distributed amongst the sinks. Parking is tight, but appears sufficient to handle a full house. Best of all your car is literally 2 steps from your door and the cozy feel seems like a deterrent to potential thieves. Traffic noise is minimal, but the walls are thin so you will have to be discrete and respectful of your neighbours at night. The single-storey layout saves you from leadfooted neighbours on your ceiling. Overall, it’s a cheap way to spend a night and enjoy a slightly novel experience
