Smart & Final

well first off today is Monday, my mother and i went grocery shopping and couldn’t even find a shopping cart… the security guard said they were out. ok whatever. and so i proceed there were only 2 lanes open… so as I’m standing in line one of the cashier’s Pauline opens another lane… and goes to the line I’m standing at and looks at me saying the people who were in line FIRST honestly lady WTF is wrong with you… I’m just waiting in line and of course they were in line first. i have better things to do than to run to your line. .relax

The store and products are fine. It’s the STAFF that sucks major balloon knots! Every once in a while you may have someone smile and say «hello» but don’t hold your breath! And for the love of God make sure you CHECK YOUR RECEIPT because I guarantee you’re being over charged for whatever you picked up on sale! I’m not exaggerating when I say EVERY time I buy something on sale I have to tell them the correct price. They put things on sale and they charge you the regular price hoping you don’t catch it. Unfortunately my mind was on other things yesterday and I forgot to pay attention and I was over charged. I have to go back today to return the item. I’m so done with this place. Not shopping here anymore!

Why I don’t like shopping at this store: 1. I took my reusable bags into the store and the security guard rudely asked to check them. 2. I find perishable merchandise all over the aisles, which makes me wonder, what if I grabbed a perishable item that was sitting out for a long time & they’ll eventually get to it and put it back on the shelf for customers to buy (I could get sick) 3. Lines are always long 4. They make such a big deal when trying to return something, even when it’s a generic brand (who else would carry that item) 5. I was looking at salads and an employee just stood in front of me to stock the salads! Rude (didn’t even excuse himself) 5. Usually cashiers are very rude and that’s if they even acknowledge you. I must say there are 1 – 2 cashiers that are nice and one I believe is a manager. I avoid shopping at this smart and final by all means.

Please note that although Google lists this Smart and Final location as permanently closed, it’s a Cash and Carry who’s wholly owned and operated by Smart and Final… otherwise this is a fantastic store fore those that cannot afford the outrageous yearly dues of the big box members only stores…

My first time going to this Smart n Final was last night, since it is down the street from my house. I would’ve given it a better rating, however the cashier who helped my roommates and I at the register had the rudest attitude. Her name is Tanya or Tonya.
Before we even started placing our items on the counter belt, she blurted out that we had to keep the alcohol in the basket. No, «Hi. How are you?» or any other greeting. She just blurted it out and my roommate asked why. She just repeated herself. Then asked, «who’s buying it?» with a condescending tone. I worked in customer service for 7 years and wouldn’t treat customers like that. She gave off the feeling that she didn’t even want to be there.
I understand that she needed to verify the purchaser was of age, but to give off such a nasty tone. Her voice flipped when her manager asked her about an item on the counter behind her. I would’ve informed the manager of the lousy customer service she gave. But the manager went to assist another customer and I figured a review would suffice.
I don’t think I’ll be shopping at this location often.

Everything is fresh here, when I dont feel like driving to Costco I come here, always parking and I usually find everything I need.

What can I say about this Smart & Final? It’s amazing! I’ve been their customer since they were across the street many years ago. They are always fully stocked with everything I need for my business. A shoutout to Jeniffer, she always has a bright smile on her face which makes me want to come back knowing I won’t have just someone scanning my items. I would totally recommend this Smart & Final to anyone, I promise it won’t disappoint.

I love this smart and final! They have great prices, bulk sizes and they always have the products that i can’t find in other grocery stores (especially in lynwood grocery stores).
The service is also very friendly! there was a cashier who was very sweet and patient when i gathered up my change to pay when i was $ 2 short in cash. i think her name was tisha or tanya or something.

This store is large, and clean and the staff here are very helpful and friendly, this store is open mon.-fri. 6:00am to 10:00pm, also sat. and sun.too this is great cauce you can get there early while some people are just getting up or you can get there late while some people are just getting in the bed, never crowded when I am there (early) I think there desserts are OK I have had better but I still have some favorite ones here. They have sales and special items with then the store like buy one get one free, you can even go on line and print your own coupons.

You know what, for being in the area that its in, this S&F is actually very clean. The inside of the store actually amazed me. Its very clean and organized. Amply stocked. Clean restrooms.
Outside parking is a little tight though, since it shares the parking with the 99 cent store right next door.

I hadn’t been to this Smart & Final in a while and looks like it’s been redone. They have a lot of items large and in bulk and it’s clean, but it’s not huge, it’s small but has a lot of items and a pretty big selection of beer.

When I first started going to this store– I loved it! I was able to buy nearly everything I wanted in bulk, it was like a neighborhood costco, had to love it. They have since remodeled and it is much more like a regular grocery store, along with the remodel of the store came new product and prices! You can still buy some items like paper towels or toilet paper in bulk, even candy– but there isn’t new the selection. The rest of the items aren’t even very well priced, I suppose they are comparable to Stater Bros. or Albertsons, nothing to write home about. I only go for toilet paper anymore, and at that they don’t even have my usual brand that often. It might be worth the trip just to go to Costco nowadays. Overall– not horrible if you are close– I wouldn’t make the drive if you are far.
