First time here since the owner/management/name changed. This used to be known as the«Lyons Family» restaurant, which was bad. Now known as Burnham’s which used to be located inside the Quality Inn hotel in Newark. The place has been cleaned up nicely and has newer tables seats and booths. That is a definite improvement. Strange that although it was an iced drink, my friend’s diet coke was warm, it had ice cubes in it too?! My iced tea was very weak with a small taste of lemon, even though I ask for no lemon and there was no lemon slice in the glass(I suspect a bad tea mix) The bacon cheeseburger was decent, cooked to order. The buns had that the old time grill toasting with a butter or oil coating beforehand giving them that crispy texture against the meat keeping the rest of bun from getting soggy, a classic taste from the 1970’s that I am sure is totally unhealthy. Like the cheeseburger itself. Service was fast. The menu emphasizes breakfast and lunch diner items. A definite improvement from the previous business. May give Studebaker’s(across the street) a little competition.
