Gramps Garage

I would highly recommend this family business to everyone! Our «new» to us motor home, towing a boat, broke down on Hwy 22 on our way home from Detroit Lake on a Sunday! Fortunately we had pulled into the Java Stop for a cool coffee drink when we heard a huge clunk. The gentleman in the the coffee stand knew to call «Gramps» Garage and lucky for us he decided to answer his phone! He came right down with his mobile automotive repair truck that had everything you need to fix a vehicle on it, and found that our alternator bracket had snapped and since it is part of the alternator, we needed a new one. All the closest auto supply places (Napa was right across the street) were closed and so he had his wife pick him up and drive him 30 miles to the nearest Auto Zone and then back. He then installed the part, put back on the belt and we were up and running again. We were a little scared at what our bill was going to be as we knew the parts alone were 120.00 cost… This whole process took around 3 hours and we were so thankful when the bill came and he was more than fair. He could have charged us whatever he wanted as we were at his mercy. I might add that Gramps might be one but is not that old! His truck says he is a Certified Master Mechanic! This is a fair and honest company to do business with and I would highly recommend them!
