This is not some swanky bar, but it is a really nice neighborhood bar which is now serving some great food. I went here for the Bears game a couple weeks ago and had a great time. We had a big group and sat at a big table in the back area. Most people seem to sit around the large bar in front. At half time for the Bears game, they laid out a buffet for the patrons, including Italian sausage, brats with homemade sauerkraut, delicious potato salad and another salad. It was all so good! You can also order off the menu. They have a great chicken pita sandwich, which the husband ordered. The pizzas are pretty good too, just don’t get it well done or crispy, b/c the cheese and meat get burnt since it is such a thin pizza. They cook the crust just right without asking for that. I am excited to try their very unique fried pickles, check ‘em out! I can’t go to suburban bars that don’t serve food(have to drive home safely!) so now I can add this bar to my list of good bars for a few drinks and some tasty food.

I have updated my review now that Yvonne’s is gone from here. This place is not somewhere we will ever go again. So I have to say my review is specific to the eatery that Yvonne opened in Feb. of 2010. Its the same great homemade food that she had at the Station. The bar itself is large and has a lot of seats, a pool table, darts and about a half dozen tvs. Everyone is usually great if you want to change the tv a channel you want. The bar has locals that are there a lot but don’t generally venture over to the eatery. If you haven’t been it’s worth the trip. If you like pirogi they are best I have ever had.

A standard stand alone irish bar. Good cheap drinks and the service was friendly. Only worth to go if you live within walking distance as it is just a neighborhood bar.

This place was OK. It was nothing to write home about. The place is pretty old and looks very dated and could use a change in décor a little. The prices of the drinks were reasonable and they had a good jukebox. I was disappointed that the kitchen was closed and the the bartender was not all that attentive. I don’t think I will be back as there absolutely nothing memorable about this place.
