We enjoyed our first pizza from Stoney’s last night. We ordered a sheet pizza with cheese and pepperoni and it was delicious! They brush the pizza with garlic and oil when it comes out of the oven to give it a very unique taste. Try it; you’ll like it!

Our family loves Stoney’s Pizza. We like to grab one when we can when we’re in town. If you follow their Facebook page, they offer specials often that just need to be mentioned when you stop in. The prices are good even without the specials, and we like the garlic-y flavor of the crust. I have heard second-hand that their Breakfast Pizzas are to die for, but have never had the chance to try them myself. The folks in there are always very friendly and our service (picking up orders To Go) has always been a quick and pleasant experience. Of all of the pizza places this has been over the years (I grew up in Lyons), I think I enjoy Stoney’s pizza the best. They’ve stuck around longer than many, so I think that’s a good sign!

Decent enough pizza by the slice. Inexpensive, 2 slices and a coke under $ 5. They have the usual just cheese or pepperoni slices, and also some curious flavors, like baked potato with sour cream and chive, and steak and potato, which seem popular with the locals. The place has been a pizza shop for about 3 years and changed owners at least once but manages to keep a consistent loyal customer base. I have heard from other folks that they do sheet pizzas but have not tried those. Their crusts have a butter and garlic under current to them and the sauce is mildly sweet. Most of the business is quick bites of slices or folks carrying out slices. It can get a little crowed at lunch, especially when they have dollar slice days usually in the middle of the week.
