Not bad for a store that’s open til midnifht. Yes it suxks that they stop selling alcohol at 10pm but meh. They have a big selection of alcohol, especially wine for you wine people out there.

Conveniently located near the main entrance/exit to MCBH, it’s a great place to grab a snack, fill up gas, or check out a DVD from the Red Box. They’ve got everything you would find in any convenience store — groceries, milk, soda, laundry detergent, beer/wine, and even accessories for a day at the beach. They also have a gas station that is usually priced lower than other gas stations on the windward side. I’ve never had to wait in line to pump gas.

If I need anything, I can always count on this place to have it. You can also get cake, beer, shakes, or even Subway.

It’s clean enough, has the«I need something quick» essentials, and it’s right across the street from the Lodge where we are staying. It does seem a little costly on some items.($ 5 dollars for a bag of chips that I can get for $ 3 on sale at Target.). And really, all that liquor… I got a buzz just walking through… LoL ! But seriously I don’t think Marines or other service members should even be around that much liquor! These men need to be in shape by set standards and I don’t think a service member is much good drunk. I’m just saying… Ok so where’s my shot…

You have the food side, and then the booze side, and yes there is even a gas station, and I believe a deli place. I haven’t been on the food side. But it looks like you can get the quick fix/essentials that you need. Annnd for those that are interested in trinkets and souvenirs they seem to have these as well, limited though. Gas station — well — it’s a gas station, just have to monitor the prices like everywhere else. Sad to say I remember when gas could be found for $ 0.25 a gallon(mind you I was a kid then, not able to drive, but I remember my dad jumping for joy seeing that price)! Dang I feel old now — maybe a beer will help…(nah…just a spirits review!) Spirits review: The beer, wine and spirits section is pretty large! There is a small selection of beer on the shelves, but they also have a walk in cooler, where you can pick up other beer as well(and it’s already chilled for you)! Watch your prices though! The alcohol here is generally pricier compared to the Navy Exchange Pearl Harbor’s location. Example. NEX sells the Sailor Jerry typically for about $ 18 or so for the 750ml. At Marine Mart it is marked up to almost $ 22. Same holds true for any of the harder spirits and wines. Beer wise — they do have some ok sales(bud, wise, er, miller, coors, etc.), but not for the types we would typically buy. Not sure how the pricing works here for the quick fix/essential items, but if it’s similar to the spirits side then you probably are better off getting stuff at the commissary or main exchange versus here. Staff are very friendly, polite, and courteous. There is a nice gentleman who works here who will even help load your vehicle up if you are buying quite a bit! There ya go. That’s my word.

The marine mart is the equivalent of an autoport/ship store on a Navy base. Its a mini mart that is stocked with«essentials» that you can get after hours when the NEX or Commissary is closed. If you’re reading this, i’m sure you know that so on to the review: This place is decently priced, I don’t feel like the groceries are marked up. At the commissary pineapples are priced by the pound but here it is a flat price of $ 3.75 which is the cheapest i’ve seen it other than a farmers market. They have a fair selection of normal grocery items but their hygiene/medical section is seriously small and limited. Their biggest section here would have to be their alcohol section which the only place to buy a variety on this base. Overall, if you need something quick, or you need to replenish your wine/beer/alcohol stash, this is the place to go.
