Maalaea Kai Condominium

I chose this location from vrbo because of its reasonable price, full kitchen, ocean view, and central location. It definitely gets windy here but that’s actually a good thing since my unit doesn’t have A/​C and we depended on the trade winds to feel cool this time of year!
Each floor has a washer and dryer and trash chute which makes longer stays convenient. There are grills on the back lawn free for residents to use.
Our one bedroom unit had a full kitchen minus a dishwasher so we were able to enjoy a few home cooked meals.
The elevator appears very new as do the grills. We didn’t go in the pool but it also looks well kept.
As my picture shows, there are often sea turtles right below the property sea wall and the view of other parts of the island and islands is fantastic. I’ve been told it’s a great place to watch the humpback whales as well when they make their trip here.
My only recommendation is to make sure you know the specific features of your unit and check to see if any sugar cane will be burned during your visit. This sends little charcoal like pieces of the crop all over the place and can be an interesting smell at night. Not unbearable by any means but not ideal.

The units are independantly owned but we found it on vrbo. Enjoyed having a full kitchen and washing machine and were able to use the outdoor grill daily as well. The two bedroom, two bathrooms gave us plenty of space. I love this area because it is much quieter and off the busy path.
